Saturday was a really solid day which puts me back up on the week despite the terrible mid-week results. I'm hoping to continue this momentum going into Sunday where there are 4 matches to be played.

AA Gent vs Club Brugge

AA Gent started the season poorly but have been improving along the way. The fact though is that they need more time to be fully ready and today is a very difficut match against Club Brugge. Looking what Leko did last year with Standard, I kind of expect him to sign for a 0-0 draw if he could. Club Brugg equalified for the Champions League and have shown good things in those matches against oppenents who don't fully crawl back. However, in the league they haven't really been all that convincing. So I'm expecting a match picture where Club Brugge has the ball and patiently will try to find the opening in the defense while not taking too much risk to get hit on a counter. In the end it likely will be a match where the better team just wins but I can't take 1.6 odds on the away side. I did tale 0.16 units on Club Brugge 1st Half -0.75 corners @ 1.820. I also took a small 0.2 unit bet on Under 3 @ 1.940 as I don't see it as a wide open encounter with goals on both sides. 0-2 for Club with the first goal taking a while and the last goal coming later in the match seems the most likely scenario.

OH Leuven vs Standard

OHL took their first win last week deserved but against a weak Dender. It does look like they are imrpoving though. They are a team that I potentially am looking to back agains mid-lower level teams if they are the underdog. Standard looked really weak last week at home against Cercle where they got 2.73xg against and actually were the underdog. This led to the board changing course and firing Rednic who was a mistake to take as main coach. They already switched to Evrard who is coaching his first bigger team. His style I would say is pressing and focus on strong defense. It will be a challenge to make that work straight from the start so for this match I mainly thing they will just defend and try to strike on the counter which is the easiest and best formula for a stuggling team to get results. This also (overly) reflects in the total line which is set at 2.25 and is tempting but I know from experience that these situatios where the line and odds are made very tempting rarely work out. For this one, I'm just going to wait and see what happens as it's too unpredictable with a new coach. No Pre-Game Bets

Union SG vs Anderlecht

Union was put with their feet on the ground last week as they couldn't get passed La Louviere who simply brought more energy while that's the entire game of Union. So I very much expect a reaction today with them starting in total overdrive at home against their local rival against who they haven't lost again in a while as they are simply the better team with more confidence. This isn't different today as Anderlecht seems to be broken down right now after getting eliminated in Europe which was a major blow. On top it was an away trip while some key players like Dolberg are looking to make a transfer and New striker Bertaccini is injured. So likely Anderlecht will have to start with Vasquez in the striker position today while they are also not full in defense with Simic aiming for a transfer and N'Diaye who lost his younger brother earlier. I see this match as the worst possible timing for Anderlecht. Union is in a clear bounce back spot while Anderlecht is shaken up by the brutal Europe Elimination, away mid-week game fatigue, a coach under fire, multiple key injuries and missing players. I took 0.4 units on Union 1st Half -0.25 @ 1.827 / 0.12 units on Union -0.75 @ 1.800 / 0.24 units on Union Team Total Over 1.75 @ 1.920. This along with a small 50 USDC Crypto bet on Union 1st half Team Total Corners Over 2.5 @ 1.750. Union so far this season has an average of 2.54 which is head and shoulders above anyone else, while their xg against on average is just 0.6xg.

Genk vs Zulte-Waregem

Genk this season has shown sparks of that they are capable of really good things but luck hasn't always been on their side and usually a good start isn't always followed by a strong ending. They also at times were a bit vulnearble in defense. Zulte-Waregem had a hopeful start despite only winning once which was a 2-3 win away against Anderlecht. In that match they started with an extra defender and had 100% finishing. I assume they will try to pull the same thing against Genk and I see them building a wall and hoping they once again finish at 100%. Genk qualified in europe playing with the B-Squad who showed not to be good enough. The A-Squad players did get rest and it was a home match so they should fully be ready and motivated for this one today. I'm expecting a good Genk who eventually break down the wall and score more the moment they take the lead and Zulte needs to take risk. I only took 0.2 units on Genk -1.5 @ 2.123 with an eye to possibly take more in-game.
