Friday was good enough with a +0.3 unit profit made on the match and quite some bets. I'm still a bit hungover from the mid-week european matches though and have some more ground to make up to make this into a profitable week. So here are the Saturday matches...
Mechelen vs La Louviere
Kv Mechelen so far this season has been good but also not really. They lost against Antwerp who played with 10 last week despite the 2.54xg so they do manage to create chances but don't have the best finishing. They also tend to crawl back when they are in the lead. I see them as a team who are capable of overperforming but also likely will have a period in the season where they are nowhere and just lose match after match. Right now, they are somewhere in between in that they are good but not great. La Louviere so far have grown a lot compared to the first matches. They took a surprise but fully deserved 0-0 last week at home against Union where they feeded off their enthusiasm. In the previous matches they have shown to be willing to go forward also even though they tend to have a hard time to create chances. I don't think that they will crawl back as long as it's 0-0 and only really do so after they take the lead. I expect a match where both try as long as it's 0-0 and for the team that takes the lead to fully crawl back. A bet I would consider pre-game is 1.80 odds on the -0.25 line which it is just below. Mechelen also has too much xg against (1.67xg average) for me to really want to take an under. So I will wait to see what happens and likely will get some in after the first goal is scored as both teams are likely to switch way more to defense if that happens. So Under after the first goal and the team that falls behind to create corners is my plan going into this one.
No Pre-Game Bets
Westerlo vs Antwerp
Westerlo so far after 4 matches played is in 14th place and mainly have shown to once again be not reliable in defense and vulnarable against teams who play high pressing. They had a break last week and should be ready and eager for this match today against Anterp. I still see them as a team with enough quality but at the same time just as a team that can't be trusted as they can get goals against in bunches like it's nothing. Antwerp has turned into a really dull team who are not willing to take any risk with the talk that they try to work their way into playing more offensively. So I don't expect anything else from Antwerp than that they ones again lay back and try to come out on the counters. They are 5th in the league with no loss yet so there is no reason the change. They are without Praet on the midfield while Foulom is highly uncertain. They also lost Lammens & Balikwisha so they are a team that is weakened a lot and they also have a very weak bench. I understand that Westerlo is made the -0.25 favorite in this match which feels about right. I can't bet Westerlo Under and I can't bet Antwerp over. I expect most of the initiative with Westerlo and I'm mainly eying them on the corners on the first half as they won both theirs so far while Antwerp lost both theirs away from home. I took

Charleroi vs Dender
Charleroi so far this season clearly is weaker compared to last season as Heymans and Zorgane leaving hasn't been replaced. They did get Scheidler recently but also lost Stulic. So I basically see them as a team who are building still and it's hard to put trust in them as the favorite. Dender is a mess right now and they are dead last with just 1 point and 1 goal scored while getting 6 against on a defensive play style. Their coach was taken away by Standard and Both Scheidler and Pupe also were transferred. So they are in search for a new coach while their assistents take over and it remains to be seen how they will play. This is basically a match between 2 broken teams and I'm not willing to gamble on Charleroi as the favorite even though that is the only real option. I expect a low-scoring match but am not willing to take the 2.5 line as there might be a approach change for Dender from very defensive to more offensive after the coach left. My main angle is still that Dender is vulnerable in case they are behind and need to go forward at the end of the match.
