True friendship

There's a verse in the holy Bible that says there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother.

Man is a social entity, and so there's always a need for connection, and that is the reason why friendship exists.

There is a saying: if you want to go fast, go alone, but if you want to go far, go together. This is because no man is an island, and no matter how much you think you know, someone out there is better than you, and you will need them to get to your destination.

In the Bible we saw how Jonathan and David were very close, and when King Saul, the father of Jonathan, planned to kill David, it was Jonathan, the friend of David, that saved him.

Sometimes we build connections, and we don't know how those connections may help us in the future. Some time ago, during my farm practical year, I met someone here in school, and we became a bit close.

So without good friends a person's life can be frustrating because loneliness can lead to idleness, and an idle mind is the devil's workshop. So you see, without good friends, a lot of us wouldn't be in the position we are today.
