Of Birthdays, Gifts, and Gratitude: A Tribute to Family and Giving

If you were buying me a birthday gift, what would it be and why? Then...what gift would you want from me for your own birthday in return? Explain.

Birthdays are a reminder of the day we were all born into this world. I want to use this medium to shout out to all mothers on the occasion of Mother's Day. They are truly an embodiment of sacrifice.

It's my first time writing here so a big shout-out to the admin and all the members of this community.

Giving gifts on people's birthdays can mean a lot of things for different people. For some, they give gifts to reassure the celebrant of their love and unwavering dedication towards them, and for some, it is a sign of appreciation for what the person has done or funny contributions they have made to their lives.

In some cultures it is a tradition to always give gifts to people on their birthday, especially members of family and the elderly.

Growing up as a young boy, I always had the opportunity to celebrate my birthday together with my sister, whose birthday is just 7 days before mine. As a family, we always had cake and some special food on that day .

When giving gifts on people's birthdays, especially to friends or close relatives, I like to give something I could be remembered for. The few things I have gifted someone on their birthday are a wristwatch , cake, and a pair of shoes, and other times I just send airtime recharge, especially to the ones who are not in the same location.

Currently getting anyone around me a birthday gift will be dependent on our relationship, and for someone very close to me, I would like to get them something that I know is a need for them at the moment, depending on my finances, though.

Well, for my birthday this year, which is about 7 days from today, which is the 19th of May, because it's the 12th day of May, which is my sister's birthday, I would like a new phone because my Samsung phone packed up beyond repair about 3 weeks ago , so a replacement will be a very appreciated birthday gift right now .
