Life's lessons navigating from the past, present and to the future
Life is not a bed of roses; there are up moments and down times as well.
During my teenage years I struggled with writing the WAEC (West African examination council) because of a constant Examination failures in mathematics; this made me take the exam between the years 2010 and 2014.
One thing that kept me going was one of the words of Pastor E.O. Adeboye when he said in one of his sermons, "You may not be where you want to be, but you are certainly not where you used to be."
And looking at my life back then, I had acquired skills in phone and laptop repairs as well as event decorations, and so I knew that even though I wasn't yet in the university, I wasn't where I used to be.
This gave me a big boost in pursuing my university education alongside the support of my family, and eventually I gained admission into the university, and today I am a graduate of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, class of 2025.
A while ago I used to think that I needed to come to a certain age before things would begin to work, and I also felt that whatever I couldn't achieve wasn't meant to be achieved by me.
But now I have come to realize that things don't work until you work them, and also most times life doesn't give you what you desire in your first attempt, most times until you try again.
I have also learned that nothing rises on its own, but anything can fall on its own, which means that if you must succeed, you must participate actively, and if you live your life by chance, you can fall.
These are a few lessons I have learned from life over the years from personal life experiences.
When I look backwards at my life a few years down the line, I can say that I have grown exponentially.
And along the line I have learned patience, being that kid who wanted everything as quickly as they could come, but I have also come to realize that building myself brick by brick is the surest way to the top.
And I have also learned that you don't have to be the loudest in the room to
Be in charge.
There was actually a mindset shift after I got into school and met young people who are intentional about their lives.
And after I joined my current place of worship, The Father's House Church, here in the city of Abeokuta, I have learned to always put myself in the spotlight, showcasing what I do.
So I may not be where I want to be, but looking back, I can certainly say I am not where I used to be.

Sometimes we do not need too many words in life but just a single word to keep us going. I like the fact that daddy G.O's words kept you going and that you were patient enough to walk through the journey too.
I must say those words came at the right time cause I was this close to giving up on the idea of a university education
