Giving back to my environment through education

One of the ways by which a lot of people are creating impact in the world today is by giving back to their immediate community and the world at large.

The value of a man's life after they leave this world is determined not by their luxurious lifestyle while they were on earth but by the number of lives that were positively influenced by that man's life.

As a young teenager my dad was transferred from the location where I was born and raised to an entirely new environment different from what I and my siblings had been used to.

The particular area where the house was located is what I would call a typical ghetto. A location where drinking, smoking, and all manner of illegal activities took place. Some of the guys that were always in the area would go out to steal and then hide in that location. The only place where they didn't steal was in that area.

Because of the influence of the hard drugs on some of these guys, all that mattered to them was money to take these hard drugs. I discovered back then that the children born in those environments soon became part of the system as well. Young girls became prostitutes doing hard drugs, and young boys, when stealing was no longer enough, got into yahoo yahoo.

Now some of them go around in big cars, spending money in night clubs and hotels, but there is a bigger problem, and that is the fact that some of them are becoming role models for the younger generation. Sometime ago I went back to the area after we had left for several years, and two primary school pupils that were walking in front were discussing how they would go and join their elder brothers in HK (Hustlers Kingdom).

Right there and then it dawned on me that these kids need a mindset orientation because the results their elder brothers and people around them have produced is now shaping their mindset towards a life of fraud.

The idea I got from that is if I could be able to set up a free educational facility where these kids would come and not only be taught but also be impacted by the core values of life and also taught the principles of money and making that money legitimately, then the rate of fraud stars will be reduced.

I believe that the values children get at the early stages of their lives go a long way to shape their future, and for every child that receives the right kind of values, the society becomes short of one more nuisance.

To achieve the goal of creating an educational facility, we would need to get a team that shares the vision, then get them equipped with the knowledge needed to take on such a task, and then get a facility ready for this big task and create publicity. And who wouldn't jump at something that is free? Finally, on an interval basis, we would have experts in various fields come to motivate these kids.
