A Come and Go Snow Dusting

Hello Hivers and friends! Today I share with you the first snow acculmation in my area. It happened shortly after arriving at my workplace. Before it happened, I took some photos of the skyline.

I took these few shots while I was checking out work vehicles. One thing I enjoy about winter here is the sunrise or twilight period before it. Most days, it's simply candy for the eyes. I love the assortment of mixed oranges in the sky. As time ticks away, the color fades away and sometimes the sun shows itself. Today though the sun did not show its partial self because clouds began to lower and a few specs of snow fell.

It's winter here and it's not all that surprising to see snow this time of year. Last year, we didn't get snow until Christmas Eve if my memory serves me right. The last few years snow has come late here. I say that because it has snowed as early as late October. I don't mind seeing a little dusting just to let you know it's there. This little bit of accumulation really doesn't warrant any extra work like shoveling. Being it's December, it does have its place for the upcoming festive holidays.

I'm glad I captured it because it came and is now gone. Seems like it all happened in the blink of an eye. The temperatures were teeter tottering between freezing after the snowfall. Now add a little wind and the bright sun and poof it disappeared. All this happened within an hour I believe. I really thought it would hang out for longer than it did. Usually the first snow fall leads to multiple vehicle accidents by idiot drivers. I simply don't think there was much of an opportunity for this to happen, fortunately. Rest assurred, this will happen at some point because it always does.

No evidence remains now and the sky gives that appearance that it didn't happen. I mean look at those harmless white puffy clouds and the blue skies. If one slept in this morning, they would have no idea it snowed unless of course, they watched the news and believed the weatherman. So, not so fast Nature, I caught you, hehe. Only one thing shows the proof and that is my photographs!

Well, it's not if it will snow again, but when. I'm sure it will be soon when I am bundled up in layers pushing and shoveling snow. Long or short winter this year? I can wish for a short one, but I'm prepared to just go with the flow. It's all I can do regardless, right?

I end this blog with a hot bowl of soup for my lunch. Seeing snow today has got my appetite up for something warm. Just some Campbell's Chunky Creamy Chicken & Dumplings canned soup. Perfect for my midway journey through the day!

This is all I have for you this time. Take care, be safe and stay warm if your also experiencing winter. Until next time!

Not too far off from here. Tomorrow and through the night it's going to be colder with the possibility of more snow.

The snow started to fall in your place, @coolmidwestguy
I imagine how cold it is in your area right now. The soup is perfect for the weather.
I like snow, maybe because we do not have one here in my country. 😊

Its good to have snow here for the holidays. Without it things feel kind of gray here. Too many leafless trees, the snow though white gives its some color, hehe.

Oh there's snow there! Well it's normal it's almost winter time... even here this week is now much colder, much more than expected after some warm winters last years. But it's ok, it's the right time. And time for warm food, soups and scarfs! jaja Take care, keep warm and enjoy the day amigo!

I never minded snow like that because it melted away quickly. It never snow here though, one of the few pluses of southern California. Snow is very pretty and it gave you some amazing pictures with all of the orange! Stay warm, and hopefully you won't have three feet of snow anytime soon!

Hot soup for cold weather..
I missed winter 🥲
I wonder why the Philippines doesn't have one when in fact, it's just 2-hours away from Hong Kong 🤣

It is strange how the weather can be much different just a few hours away. I guess we are just a small world after all with many differences, hehe.

Yeah right. But we do enjoy our tropical country, the only annoying part is the very hot summer haha

I would enjoy it as well especially when it gets bone chilling cold here, haha. I go to Las Vegas in February so that will be a warmer break for me 😃

Wow! Very dramatic photos of the sky before the snow came down. Very different to see white snow covering the scenery.

It was the first accumulation of snow here. It's always neat to see. We haven't had any more yet that I have witnessed just freezing rain on Friday which caused a lot of vehicle accidents.
