Splinterlands - Community Engagement Challenge - Battle of Forgotten Cards
Hi Friends,

Source
Happy Monday and a great week ahead.
How's your strategy with changes for Land 1.75 is working? I have just 5 land plots and all of those are natural ones enabling me to just produce grain, research points and SPS and since I do not have any iron, wood and rock producing ones, either I have to swap some grains for that or use some pools to generate these items.
While I have chosen Second option, I have also converted my research and SPS producing ones back to grains producing ones to just not stop them working.
Not sure this is the best strategy and I don't want to buy the new plots at $45 each with current price.
So, life goes with my 5 land plots and trying to make best use of those and here I am writing about a card and a battle for this week's Community Engagement Challenge.
The card I would like to discuss is available in Wild format only as it is from Alpha and Beta versions and the card is Water Elemental.
Let me give more details on the card and the battle in below sections.

Water Elemental:

One of most used monsters from Water splinter before these modern format started and I think few of those guys still use it in Wild format.
With the introduction of many nice magic monsters from Water splinter, this monster might have lost it's popularity, but I still feel it is still a good monster and can be very handy when used in last position with many good sneak monsters available.
This monster with it's dodge ability, it can be a dangerous customer to evade those sneak attacks continuously and it is also a healing monster to keep recharging itself with some of it's lost health and these 2 abilities makes it a good to use monster from Water splinter in Wild format.
It's a pity that these cards are not usable in modern format and some of these cards including the likes of Ruler of the Seas are game changers and I definitely miss those with manual play in modern format.
I used it in a battle as I share the details below with some of my Water splinter monsters there.

Battle:

As we can see from above screenshot, it was a battle with good enough MANA cap of 46 with 3 different rule sets of Need for Speed, Born Again and Equalizer.
Water splinter is one of my favorites because of all those magic monsters and Ruler of the Seas is my all time favorite monster for it's blast, silence and sift abilities which always makes battles interesting.
Considering the 46 MANA cap, I planned to use Diemonshark at the front for all the nice abilities it has and that was followed by Flying Squid, Nerissa Tridawn, Ruler of the Seas, tank healer of Merdaali Guardian and lastly the monster in focus, the Water Elemental.
The battle with equalizer rule set means all the monsters will start with equal health and that was the advantage thing but, my opponent used a monster which will make all his monsters lose health at the start of each round with the monster being Shock Trooper.
So that means, I always had the advantage from round 1 because of my opponent's usage of that monster.
So, even though he used 5 magic monsters with all of them having good attack and health obviously due to equalizer rule set, but they kept on losing health like in a earthquake battle and finally I won the battle with 3 monsters stayed alive.

Here I am sharing few snaps from the battle as these will give an idea of how the battle went on and by which round how many monsters were remaining and all.
Here I go with the snaps.

The days when we started using those Alpha and Beta were something were were feeling like we are on the moon with these card games, it still mazes us with all the new version cards and game has evolved much bigger now with other things like Survival Mode, Land, Tournaments and all and that's the best thing with Splinterlands!!!!
I hope you too have some card in your mind which you might be using and playing the battles and winning but others may think those are not useful.
Please do share the details of such cards as it will be fun to know about such cards.
Thanking all and wishing you a great week ahead as we start this Monday.
