Hello Friends,

New week and new splinterlands challenges are up as we have the Social Media Challenge announced today and as always I would like to share a battle which is interesting One to convey the importance of Doctor Blight in low MANA cost battles.

This battle I am sharing with Doctor Blight used is with 17 MANA cap and I used Earth splinter for this and here I share the details of the battle and also about Doctor Blight.

Doctor Blight:

Doctor Blight, we all know about this monster, but I am just trying to explain about him One more time.

Doctor Blight is a promo card from Chaos Legion edition and this is a magic attack monster with camouflage, poison, affliction and scavenger abilities at level 3 and when it is at level 4, it also gets weaken ability as well.

The best thing about Doctor Blight is, it's not visible to opponent's monsters until it is in front position because of camouflage and it keeps on adding it's health as it is a scavenger ability monster.

Battle and Lineup:

The battle I am sharing it with 17 MANA cap as I explained above and had 3 rule sets viz. thorns, blood and sunder and target practice.

Thorns as we know, will throw thorns in return on the melee monsters attack, blood and sunder is all about corrosive action to remove the armors and target practice will make all magic and ranged attack monsters to attack the First magic or ranged attack monster on Second line and then the next one and so on.

Considering the 17 MANA cost cap, I used Doctor Blight as main One along with Djinn Biljka and other monsters as below:

Lineup:

1. Hill Giant:

Since the cost for this battle was limited One and also due to target practice rule set, I used this 3 MANA cost monster at the front as it is with 9 health for just 3 cost and also gives 3 melee attack with stun ability it has and that works most of the time!!!!

2. Fungus Fiend:

As the plan was to use couple of magic attack monsters with a martyr monster, I used this in Second position as a backup front monster.

It is with slow ability to reduce the speed of all of opponent's monsters by 1.

3. Doctor Blight:

The theme monster for this battle as I was explaining above and this monster is One of the most used I can say and it wins the battle for me most of the time I use.

I use this and Djinn Biljka many times when I see low MANA cap and also when reverse speed rule set is there.

4. Fungus Flinger:

This was used in between Doctor Blight and Djinn Biljka just to utilize it's martyr rule set to increase the stats of adjacent monsters when it dies.

5. Djinn Biljka:

Last monster on my list was this Djinn Biljka and this monster is a silent killer with it's 3 MANA cost, it gives 3 magic attack and when it is used with Obsidian summoner, it gets +1 magic attack, so 4 attack for 3 MANA cost and that too with camouflage ability and this monster also has void ability to get 1 less attack from magic monsters.

Oh not to forget it's weaken ability to reduce the health of all the monsters on other side by 1.

This battle took all of 3 rounds to complete the battle as most of the monsters used were with low health but high attack and barring Hill Giant, all other monsters started with lower health and hence, the battle couldn't last longer and 3 rounds were enough to complete it.

These low MANA cost battles always are a trickier Ones with so many monsters available to select and 1 wrong monster or should I say One monster which doesn't suite the monsters selected by opponent, the whole battle will be ruined and will be lost.

I although use the magic monsters duo mentioned here in most of the battles, I have also seen that those 3 are hunted by water splinter monsters of Uraeus and Pelacor Bandit, but that wasn't the case today.

If you get the lineup right, you will always win, but vice versa is also possible as opponent might be even more sharper in team selection :)

The battle link is shared above for your review and have more details on this battle and I hope you enjoyed going thru this battle.
