Be ready to bear the consequence

Everyone has the right to say their mind; it is a free world. However, we forget that freedom of speech is not free anymore. According to the police force, whatever you say will be used against you in the court of law. This is true at times, but not always.

Social media has given so many people the right to spread false information, play with people's emotions, and post content that can permanently damage one's reputation. Before anyone grabs a camera and starts talking about their company or school, I think the person should have concrete evidence to support what they are saying.

Let's take, for example, a girl who always comes on social media to attack Davido for no just reason. Some people were hailing her, although some people condemned her attitude. But she refused to change her bad character; she kept attacking him, throwing insults. She even mocked him, saying his son was dead. That was the height of it.

Fast forward to two months ago, she made a post soliciting help for her sister who is suffering from a kidney problem and needed money to do a transplant on her. She was seriously begging people to help her. It was then that Davido, whom she had been mocking all this time, did something I can do; I can be very petty.Davido gave the exact amount of money she was asking for to his fan for her hair.

Imagine looking for 5 million naira and the only person who would have helped you was the person that you have insulted, humiliated, and even mocked for the death of his loved one without conscience. The funny thing is that she always supports Wizkid, someone who doesn't even care about anybody.Long story short, she lost her sister because she couldn't get the help she was looking for.

The internet doesn't forget. If you post something now, some people will screenshot it and keep it just to attack you one day. Before you say anything on social media, you should know if it goes against your company's policies and values. You can't be a teacher and have everything you do on social media go against the teaching or teachers' code of conduct. When you are warned, you say, 'It's my space, I can say anything I like.

Some kind of behavior requires immediate dismissal. Know your company's policy and make sure not to do something that will jeopardize it.Somethings you say or do makes the company look at you in a different way. If you are in the military, there are certain things you can't do online even if it doesn't infringe on anybody's rights.

If it's not against the company policy, there is no need for dismissal at all.Outside of school and work, we all have another life, which might involve social media. Someone expressing how they feel about a country or anything shouldn't be dismissed just because their CEO is a against it. What happened to cautioning the person?

It's important to screen what we post o. That aspect of people screenshotting and keeping is something I have noticed cos even someone deletes a post, people will keep circulating the screenshot. We just have to be careful

I found it interesting for you to mention fake information. Here in Brazil is unbearable the amount of false information that is driven by influencers. A real business!
