This is our weekly showcase where we highlight posts in this community shared here in the last seven days. These are the posts that have impressed us at COM the most.

Now, let's get into this week's showcase.

@writermaximus - AMERICAN CONCEPTS THAT WOULD NEVER WORK IN NIGERIA

This is a country filled with some of the most insane and eccentric humans you'd ever encounter.
Due to this, some concepts that would work or thrive in other countries would not see the light of day here.
And when we talk about countries with vastly different concepts, America has gotta be the polar opposite of Nigeria.
So many things that they do there would be absolutely ridiculous here.

And he gave good reasons why those concepts won't work in his country, you might want to go have a read and confirm if you're in his country or argue maybe.

@faithetim - If you like continue to cry, I am here for you

My father just called me now, he said, he is coming to my place, to stay with me for a month, and there is no how, he is not going to cry, in one way or the other, especially, if he is watching an action movie, and seeing the way, those actor's brutalized themselves, so I do not want to knock my father's head, "never would I do that", I have told him, I am not at home, that me and my team went to outside work.

Who knocks people crying to stop them from crying? This user! But it seems his father is his last stop to his consoling method, we might have a part 2 of this post telling us what happened when his father visited.

@kingsleyy - First bet: Expect a giveaway soon

Immediately I dropped the phone, the number began to call again. 1, 2, and 3 missed calls, and I still refused to pick. At the fourth call, I decided to pick and pour some sense into the scammer's brain.
"Hello, Good afternoon, I know you're busy. Sorry for my calls. It's me, your neighbor. Please help me go play that game in the Bet9ja shop. Check your sms; I sent a code to you." The guy rushed me immediately I picked up the call, and I guess he was not having airtime because he could have at least allowed me to slash him first.

From a suspected prank call to a close neighbor to a betting shop, we are expecting a giveaway so the whole process isn't much of a bother.

@hazmat - WHO RUNS THE WORLD?

I was curious so I had to ask her to scroll down and I realized that a large percentage were guys who kept texting even though they never got any replies.
I want to catch that person who said it's a man's world and flog him very well, because it was obvious many men were literally passing through a lot in the DMs.

This might cause some argument or maybe he's right, you should go check it out and see for yourself.

The most interesting thing about the vendor was that they seem to have all of the raw materials that I needed. wow. Prior to that day, I’ve come across different vendors on instagram and Facebook that sell some of the things that I wanted but I’ve never come across one that has all of the stuff that I needed.

She ordered, felt it became a scam but got what she ordered for. Even the readers would have guessed right that she was scammed, interesting read really.

@marajah - Why you shouldn't love someone with dreadlock

With this kind of similarity or resemblance, now tell me what exactly would happen if the relationship should collapse and you do have a mopping stick at home. Let's be honest, whenever you're mopping your house floor with mopping stick, what exactly would flash your mind? Your ex? isn't it? Now let me tell you a story.

The comparison between a mop and a hairstyle is hilarious and to think she has a case study to back up her comparison is even more funny.
