Just like how serious every Monday feels, January comes in the same mode. After all the merriment of the festive season, January always quenches the fun with all forms of seriousness. What was or has been your craziest slap back to reality by January?

Want some ideas?

• Are you a student? On your first day back to school, you had an impromptu test, and you wrote absolutely nothing because your brain was still blocked by an overdose of festive merriment.

• Are you a staff member? You resumed work only to meet a mountainous pile of work waiting for you to clear within two days—work that would normally take one month to complete.

• Are you a parent? Bills were falling from every angle, and you wished you could go back and remain in December.

And so on
