The War On Sol Invictus

Don't know if anyone has told y'all yet, but we're fast approaching that holiest of holy shit, it's God's birthday. Anyone care to hazard a guess which deity was born on December 25th and makes it so holy?

Jesus Christ, you'd better not get this one wrong. If you did in fact answer Jesus I have bad news for you, you've been hoodwinked by the War on Sol Invictus! Tis sad but true.

We need to remember the reason for the season y'all. That there War on Christmas ain't nothing but misdirection, smokescreen since the days of Constantine, to distract from the War on Sol Invictus. Been going on for centuries.

Aurelian made one God to rule them all and his name is Sol Invictus. Things went along sunnily from there, at least until Constantine I ventured into the depths of Mordor and discovered a new opiate, which he couldn't help but force upon his masses. Seemed a big ask for everyone to drop the old ways and adopt new ones, so as a compromise they painted a coat of Christianity on the old ways and called it done.

Thus, with a nudge and a wink Dies Natalis Solis Invicti became Christmas and the War on Sol Invictus was born. It continues to this day actually, so the next time The War On Christmas comes on TV, take a moment to explain to your friends and family how it's a parable for the War on Sol Invictus and the true reason for the season. Always a party pleaser.

Here in a bit me and Odin are going to have us a Yule log bonfire and roast flying reindeer as we toast to ol' Sol Invictus. As long as you're not Santa Claus or the game warden, you're welcome to join us. For the rest of you, no matter what holidays you celebrate in the coming days, I hope you have a good'un!

Now for some holiday music.

This is my first time hearing about the Aurelian god named Sol Invictus
I’d make more research though
Thanks for sharing

I’ve known for a while that it wasn’t the birth of Jesus, but a repackaged day for something. I’ll have to look into this Sol Invictus piece. It’s interesting what they do to change the narrative to for their needs isn’t it?

Yeah, before I started doing research for this I knew they'd coopted the Roman sun god's holiday but I couldn't have told you the name or much of anything else.

It’s interesting what they do to change the narrative to for their needs isn’t it?

Oh man, I could rant on that for days, there's so much stuff that gets passed off as history that's just not accurate. Hadn't realized until I was digging around for this piece just how much changing the narrative they'd done. Discovered they'd basically done the same thing with the Yule celebrations (moved it to coincide with Christmas) in the Germanic areas. Then again the Romans had done much the same thing with the Greek gods.

Yeah it’s pretty wild how much is changed or manipulated. It makes those more wild theories out there that our history is largely a lie and we aren’t in the 2000’s seem not as crazy.

I saw a video a couple years ago, sadly I can’t remember which site it was on, but an archaeologist was digging in South America I believe and he found a dinosaur bone that was clearly dinosaur, triceratops or something and it still had flesh and muscle attached to it from the way it was preserved. He carbon dated it a couple times to like 2,500 years ago and redid it because of the unbelievable date and wrote a paper about it and was fired from his tenure professor job for trying to get it published and it’s essentially ruined his life. There’s something interesting about these types of things, taken with a grain or two of salt or course but it’s good to see them and we try to determine what we think of them. Burying it all is just foolish but anything to preserve the narrative.
