Snaps From The Road III

It pains me to say it but our road trip in search of the American Dream is starting to wind down. Tomorrow we start the 1300 mile (2089 km) drive home and I can't say that I'm particularly looking forward to it.

Haven't posted in a few days, we've been gallivanting a bit too much. Spent several days in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where it looked like our airbnb had Walter White for a neighbor. Drove down from there to Albuquerque for a couple nights so we could catch the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.

Seen more adobe, museums, mountains and desert than you can shake a stick at. Somehow managed to take over 100GB of photos so there'll be plenty more photos to come once we get a little more stationary.

Even managed to climb a mountain while we were in Santa Fe, the views from almost 8000 feet were enough to take your breath away.

Going to miss being out here, methinks a plot to return may be in order. Sleep is calling, y'all stay safe out there.

I'm pretty sure there's never a bad time for black and white photos but road trips are especially good :)
Thank you!

Bloody marvelous! As I mentioned before I was stationed in New Mexico and as much as I didn’t on the whole enjoy my time there for various reasons these posts made me want to revisit. Ooooh I would love to do another US road trip too. Did a massive one back in 1992 there. Great stuff my bru!

I can understand why you might not have gotten the most enjoyment out of your time in New Mexico but don't hold that against the state too much, it's pretty badass. We didn't make it south of I-40 at all and we still didn't do half of what we wanted to. If you do happen to make it there, try to catch the Balloon Fiesta, they have 'mass ascensions' where hundreds of hot air balloons take off just before sunrise or at sunset, it's kind of amazing. I remember you telling about that, that sounded epic, you should definitely do another one.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed them! It's been such a fun adventure, I'm sad it has to end. Only thing to do is plot another I suppose. Thanks for dropping by!

De tus fotos la más sorprendente fue la penúltima, km y km de soledad, calor y vegetación escasa..me encantó.

When the pictures are converted to black and white, their beauty is enhanced and the way we see that all the people are very busy doing their work.
