Why Wishes Never Come True

We’ve all made wishes. Some have been whispered into the night, others muttered while gazing out of a bus window, hoping for something different. One of the most common silent wishes nowadays revolves around money — wealth, freedom, a better life. And for a lot of people, crypto once seemed like the golden key. People picked up on Bitcoin early. Some People were told about its potential and they wished they had just acted upon it.
The crazy part is most didn't even need someone to convince them. They already knew. They heard the stories. They read the blogs. Some even check the charts every single day. And still, they did nothing. That was me too. I remember clearly — back in 2016 a friend was really geeked out about Bitcoin. He wouldn’t stop talking about, there was so much enthusiasm in his voice, I think it was around £400 then.
I was just sitting there, nodding and listening, acting like I understood. When in fact I just daydreamed. I wished I had some spare money to buy just one. And then like other thoughts myself, imagined what my life might be like if I owned a small percentage. I imagined paying off debt, helping family, and not having to worry about money. I would check the price here or there, and sometimes every week. Each time I saw it go up I felt as I missed something.
But that’s the most that I did. Check, wish, dream. I got Bitcoin wallet, I did a bit of research about how it worked. But I didn't even try to research more about it the risks. I just let the wish linger in the air and daydream… hoping something magical would happen, like a big money should come from somewhere so I could invest. It's funny how we treat wishes — as if they're little seeds that will grow all by themselves.
Wish can't grow anywhere. And most of them never land anywhere. They float around for a moment, only to fade away. Crypto became a lot of bad news for so many people. Not because it was hidden or inaccessible, but because of how many people chose to stand at the door, staring into the room full of potential only to still choose to do nothing. Even still today, you hear some say, “I really wish I bought when it was cheaper” or “I wish I would've known.”
But in reality, they knew. The truth is the wish stayed there in their minds, and stayed a wish. A few years later, and the wish is still there, unchanged.
There is something very quiet about a wish, they never go anywhere. It doesn't scream or wail, in fact it just sits quietly somewhere in your mind, like an old memory. Not painful or dramatic — just quiet.
It’s something you carry with you, not with regret per se, but something that wait and wish you get up to act upon. A wish is like a door you never opened. Like a book you never finished, you never know what's inside until you open. That's the thing about wishes. They're stay right where you place them. If you can't act upon them, they merely remain as distant memories quietly hanging out in your head but constantly reminding you what you could have but would never have.
I’ve heard a lot of similar stories concerning how people wish they bought btc back then. Indeed, wishes never go anywhere. If you want to live a dream, then just go after it with all you’ve got.
Exactly, wishes never get us anywhere, I'm surprised to see the exponential rise in BTC today. Imagine if we had even borrowed to buy and hold in those days
