Real Stories, Real Change — Water Direct Movie Is Out

Living in Ghana, particularly in remote or impoverished places, is often not easy. I say "not easy" because I have lived this. Growing up, I lived in a community where finding something as simple as clean water was a challenge. In many of these communities there is access to water from the Ghana Water Company and so people are compelled to have long walks to search for water, pay a lot of money for or have to find ways to access water. Water becomes something like a luxury.
Imagine something as important and basic as water being a struggle to access. This is the reality for so many people in these communities. This is why the launch of Hive's water project in deprived communities is significant. It is not just drilling a borehole, it is providing hope, dignity and a better life for people. Water is life. Water brings health, water saves time, and water uplifts lives on a daily basis.
For me, the significance of this work with @mcsamm is even more personal, given that I have not only survived such struggles but also had the opportunity to contribute to this project. I understand the realities of waking up and not having clean water. This is why, being a part of this project means a great deal to me. It is a dream come true to give back to communities similar to the one I grew up in.
Today, the moment most people have been waiting for has finally arrived. The film "Water Direct" has finally been released. This documentary showcases the Hive water project in Ghana. It documentaries the true struggles that people have to access water and how Hive is addressing that problem with the blockchain technology.
I am glad to see that this documentary has been released into the world. It not only addresses the issue of clean water, it highlights how Hive has addressed the struggle of water scarcity and provided opportunities to make people’s lives better while changing their immediate reality.
I feel proud and grateful to have been part of this journey. Thank you to those who worked hard on every aspect of the project.
Thank you @mcsamm for your great efforts towards this work and to @mynewlife for your hard work that went into creating something impactful and revolutionary. Also to @abenad your great role in the movie. I hope this film finds its way into the hearts of many and that it creates a greater understanding of the struggles that others face and the power of community, kindness and innovation.
