In the Making: A New Hive Borehole Begins
Water is one of the most precious resources on the in our world and there is no doubt about it. While water is abundant all around us, countless communities still do not have access to clean and safe drinking water. Every effort to help deliver this vital resource is significant, especially when it can come from a decentralized organization, as is the case with Hive. When people hear about the blockchain they often think of cryptocurrencies or NFTs.
However, Hive is clearly demonstrating to the world how the blockchain technology can be used to support much more than just financial transactions and digital assets; Hive can help create true real world impact and support initiatives that can change lives in tangible ways. We are indeed excited to share about the progress we have made on another borehole project that is currently being constructed in Agona Jamasi, Kumasi Ghana. This is the 22nd borehole supported by the Hive community, and work in ongoing and progressing.
The first phase of construction which is the drilling and mechanization has succesfully been done, thanks to the fantastic work of our the team of engineers working on the project. This phase is always the most important, as it establishes a strong base for all of the construction work that will be involved in building a safe and accessible delivery system to get people clean and safe water.
This is a project that is much more than a source of clean water.
It has become a testament to Hive's ability to make a great differnce in our wolrd and this is evidence of the great work Hive has the potential to support and how it can catalyze real and meaningful social change. Many may have never believed blockchain and Web3 could help tackle real world challenges, but we strive to prove that with every borehole project. Reaching this milestone, from our first project to our 22nd project, reminds us of how far we have come.
We wouldn't have been able to get here without the support and funding of the Hive blockchain. We base our commitment to continue using this technology for social good, and continue to prove that Web3 can be impactful. We are thankful to be a part of this decentralized movement.
