The internet is a big world filled with countless opportunities that many of us have yet to discover. I was surprised to learn in 2017 how people could earn monetary rewards while exploring blockchain technology; I thought something like that was nonexistent. Personally, I love surfing the internet, being online to learn while searching for opportunities. I dedicate a significant amount of time online, mainly in pursuit of hidden online gems.
Before exploring the blockchain, I heard about how people were earning substantial incomes on platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter(then), where they functioned as content creators and influencers. People turned these platforms into their businesses because they realized how to leverage them effectively. Spending more time online is something wothwhile when you realise how it can yield you good returns.
Although I haven't researched extensively about how people earn on Tiktok and Facebook when they go live , but I can confidently say that no time or data is wasted if it means that those time spent yields something valuable in return, whether it's money, influence, followers, or attention. Lots of People seek these each time they engage on the platforms, and in the end, it's all worth it if there is a reasonable outcome. My exploration of Hive made me realize that the time and attention I invest is truly worthwhile, and I am excited to keep exploring each day. While it may be challenging for most people to gain influence on these Web 2 platforms and begin earning, Hive offers more opportunities than most of these platforms.
I've come to realize that it's comparatively easier to establish a presence on Hive than on most Web 2 platforms. Hive not only allows you to explore opportunities but also shows that the number of followers doesn't necessarily determine your community benefits and influence. Unlike typical Web 2 platforms where you need a substantial following and must climb to the top to start earning, Hive offers a more accessible path for everyone to earn and appreciate their efforts.
Furthermore, as you delve more into the blockchain, you begin to recognize that the time spent online is rewarding. You can earn rewards in various forms, including automatic investment options resulting from the Hive Power you receive, some from payouts, and others from curation rewards. Beyond just the rewards, you'll discover that as you engage with others daily, you're forming a network of friends, business partners, and even a sense of community that feels like family.
These, to me, are the gems that many people often never recognise. Beyond any monetary value that anyone can gain is where we find wonderful individuals as we socialize. Beyond the networks we build, is where we find so much more. Time won't allow to elaborate on the power of network and community building but I realised that time spent on the blockchain, if utilized well eventually leads you to discover gems.

I think that's a great feature of a web3 platform like Hive, the ability to start earning rewards without been an established brand or personality.
