What's Next For Seishiro Nagi????

The anime blue lock has been on the lips of a vast majority of the anime community for years as it brought a whole new perspective in sports anime since its adaptation. I never thought I would be so intrigued by a series about soccer players since I am not even a real fan of football but this anime was made in such a way that made it difficult to ignore even for non- fans.

The anime primarily revolves around a boy named Isagi Yoichi who loses in an inter- high school football competition but ends up receiving an invitation letter to a football program known as blue lock. Arriving at the location he realizes that other soccer players were also invited as well to prove themselves. The main objective of the program was to create Japan's very own goal hungry egotistical striker that will eventually bring the world cup trophy back home. Our main character Isagi has to prove himself amongst 299 other candidates as the best striker in various stages of the project.

Now the anime is packed with a lot of interesting characters like Itoshi Rin, Chigiri, Bachira etc who are way more skilled than the protagonist. These characters are so laced rich stories that each one of them can have their spin off series away from the original and it will still be a banger. One character already enjoys this privilege and this is none other than Nagi Seishiro. Nagi is actually my third favorite character in the series right after Barou and Isagi. He is a talented football with insane trapping skills but possesses a lazy personality. Nagi literal hates to work and views football as too demanding but somewhere along his journey, he soon starts to enjoy the thrill from the game even going all out to score goals.
Well since players are eliminated after failing in this very project, what is the fate of our beloved trapper Nagi???
SPOILER ALERT
Right after the under 20 japan national team which saw Nagi scoring the first goal for team blue and eventually winning the game, the next phase was the Neo egotistic league arc in the manga.

Here players were allow to choose different teams styled after country's that suit their play styles. Nagi chose PXG along with his friend Reo and headed off to prove himself furthermore. However his growth here was pretty stale. This is because Nagi lost his passion for the game as he already felt that he had already achieved his goal of beating Isagi in the under 20 football match.

This caused his team to struggle with every match losing two crucial games in the tournament first to team Bastard Munchen which Isagi was on and other to FC Barcha of Spain where Bachira played. After his indecisiveness to take the initiative of the match choosing to pass to Reo instead of taking the shot himself, it resulted to a counter from their opponent which led to a goal and causing them the match.

Immediately the match was over Ego released the new player ranking and Nagi was not on the top 23 meaning he was officially kicked off the blue lock along with players below the number. The main reason he lost his spot was not because he lost the match according to Ego, it was because he had lost sight of the purpose of the project which was creating an egotistic striker who scores goals not one who passes because he is scared of taking the shot.

So where is Nagi Now???

After his elimination in the 300th chapter Nagi has returned back his normal life of playing video games and attending high school going as far as telling people he was completely done with the world of football. However I don't think he truly means it because he later admits he missed the tension that comes with playing even crying in the process so I guess there is still more in store for a laid back striker.
Personally I believe this is not the end of Nagi's journey on Blue lock, maybe just maybe Ego might pull some sort of hocus pocus like he did Kunigami and pull our boy wonder back into the program once he discovers his will to play again hopefully.
