Hello everyone welcome to the 197th week of Afritunes. I am @ coderaikiri and this week my entry will be a song cover of ashana by none other than the man himself Ruger. So let's get to it.
This Sunday I was having an evening stroll with three friends of mine and we all engaged in a conversation that had me hooked. We talked about the opposite gender and how some of them will do literally anything for the right price going as far as selling their dignity. The Yoruba in our midst said these types of girls were called "Ashana" it was at that point I remembered about the song and the fact that I had singing it all along without even knowing the meaning. Now that I do, I can comfortably sing the song without uncertainty.
In the song the artist roams around pillow talk with a girl he simply tags as ASHANA reminding her that it was late at night so they better get down to being intimate. He even suggests that since her friend was awake it would be wise for her to join in on the festivities.
The dancehall substance in the song had me dancing, grinning and shaking my fear to its control. Abeg Ruger good he is just overly underrated and y'all better watch out for him as he has not only proven that he is a threat to the top dogs but can also stand the test of time even when people say otherwise...
