Difference between being loved and being trusted

A lot of people don't know there is a big difference between being loved and being trusted. Most people don't even recognize the two things actually exist separately. Love can be conditional and what I mean by that is that it has the potential to change. Just because someone loves you and maybe even loves you deeply doesn't mean they will give you the keys to their business or their secrets or even their everyday life. It is something we just accept and not typically question.

But if you are in a relationship of any kind and the person trusts you, that is a a huge sign of what they think about you as a person when you are not in their presence.

When I first met this my best friend Peter, this was a guy I hardly knew and he was a Nigerian and I'm a Ghanaian so we were bound to first be in deferent to each other because of hur different backgrounds. But he confided with me something about himself that was very personal, so personal I don't want to say it in the blog. My eyes were opened and it changed my perspective on relationships.

Love sometimes is based on projected ideas of what the other person is supposed to be as a person. But trust is based on the premise that after looking and scrutinizing you, you are deemed worthy of a gamble.

Some people equate love with attachment to someone, even if they're unrelated but trust is something that needs to be built by experiencing little, small, boring, inconsequential instances of keeping your word when it costs you money and not speaking up when it is in your best interests to do so.

The comfort of feeling loved is good, the feeling of being trusted is an amazing feeling because it is more like being known and for me, being known is the most vital factor in my life.
