I have been going on holiday to Cattolica, in the province of Rimini, with my whole family for several years now. Obviously, we go there to enjoy some peace and quiet by the sea, without a care in the world.

We chose this place by chance, a friend from Modena suggested we go there and... we liked it and have been going back every summer since.

Cattolica is a classic seaside town on the Romagna coast. The sea is shallow and the water is fairly clean, and there are lots of amenities and entertainment for adults and children alike.

One thing I appreciated and that has always intrigued me is the fountain show. There are various fountains scattered throughout the city, and they are turned on in the evening.

Near the central square, there is a small path between the fountains with benches to sit on, where children love to play with the water.

But what I loved most was the dancing fountain show. Every evening, twice, a fountain in the corner of the central square transforms.

From an anonymous fountain, it becomes the star of music and water games that enchant everyone. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take many photos of the water games. Lots of children stand in front of the chain and jump, scream and shout, amid splashes and music.

Sono già alcuni anni che vado in vacanza a Cattolica, in provincia di Rimini, con tutta la famiglia. Ovviamente andiamo per stare un po'al mare in tranquillità e senza pensieri.

Abbiamo scelto questo posto per caso, un amico di Modena ci aveva suggerito di andarci e... ci è piaciuto e ci stiamo tornando ogni estate.

Cattolica è la classica città di mare della costa Romagnola. Mare basso e con acqua abbastanza pulita, tanti servizi e divertimenti per grandi e piccini.

Una cosa che ho apprezzato e che mi ha sempre intrigato, è lo spettacolo delle fontane. Ci sono varie fontane sparse per la città e vengono accese in orario serale.

Vicino alla piazza centrale c'è un piccolo percorso tra le fontane con panchine per sedersi e in cui i bambini adorano giocare con l'acqua.

Ma la cosa che ho amato di più è lo spettacolo delle fontane danzanti. Ogni sera, due volte, una fontana che si trova nell'angolo della piazza centrale si trasforma.

Da anonima fontana diventa la protagonista di musica e giochi d'acqua che incantano tutti. Purtroppo non sono riuscita a fare molte fotografie ai giochi d'acqua. Tantissimi bambini si posizionano davanti alla catena e saltano, urlano e gridano, tra schizzi e musica.
