Wording Is Crucial

Hi fellow Hiveians,

Today I wanted to talk about how we need to get back to some roots!

Wording Is Crucial

There are a lot of things that we learn and know in life, but some of them are highly manipulated!

FLAG.JPG

There are a lot of things going on in the world today, I guess as there always is and always has been. There is always some sort of machination or another; something highly unethical, something highly illegal, and something highly demonic. It seems these things are going on every second of every day, with new ones popping up and being thought of every moment. Makes you get the warm and fuzzies, doesn't it? :D

One of the things that is very subliminal in a lot of ways.. is the wording that is used.

What do I mean the wording? Let's take today, when this is being published, as an example. THESE days, it is just known as "The 4th of July!" and it is a holiday in America. It is MUCH more than that though..

What we REALLY should be calling it is what it is and has been for hundreds of years: Independence Day!

It is very specifically and chosen to be "the 4th of July" though because words and their meaning are one of the most manipulated things in the world. Let's take a bit of a seat and chat! LOL

IMG_3267.jpeg

When someone thinks of "the 4th of July" they think of a day off, fireworks, cookouts and celebrations. Yes it is for sure all of those, but it is being turned into some cheap, Hallmark holiday, as they all are unfortunately. When we think of WHY we have this day off, it is SO much more than that.

Before the Americans declared their Independence from the British, there was no other civilization of it's kind in so many ways. There was no place that was set up with as much decentralization as was routine in America. The colonies each had their own assemblies with their own powers and responsibilities. In other places throughout the world it was monarchies where the kings had absolute power and could do whatever they wanted. There were no local lawmakers that could have a direct say in things that they knew a lot about and affected them and their neighbors more than it would people dozens or hundreds of miles away.

There were courts with peers, whereas before there were banana courts, meaning one staffed with only the ruling classes and their cronies as the judge, jury and executioners. People having a say in whether their local people are guilty or innocent (when there were quite a few examples of them being guilty.. but of unjust laws)

Hell even citizens being able to arm and defend themselves against their own government or neighbors wasn't really as prevalent as it is today. There were armies, yes, but the primary people who controlled weapons were the military. Now there are more people with weapons than there are military, granted it's not nearly as strong but numbers matter!

All this to say, that simply calling it "The 4th of July" is certainly something that we should be very acutely aware of. They are trying to take away the symbolism of what the day TRULY represented.

We saw them changing the meaning of words during the lockdown period several years ago. They repeated, obscenely frequently, the same talking points because they know it is HIGHLY effective to repeat something consistently and frequently to manipulate people into having a specific opinion. It is truly wild what goes on when you think about it!

To keep this from turning into a 1,500 word post.. those of us who live in America. Remember that what we celebrate today, on the 4th of July is INDEPDENCE DAY, not some other lame Hallmark holiday. It is when the people who felt passionately, fought for and created a country that was NOT perfect, but the best example of what we can become if we are able to balance the power to the people much more than it ever was before.

We have dangers of losing this great experiment, and there are lots of machinations to try and do that.. but there have been many examples in the past of that happening. Are we able to hold the line and keep Liberty for the citizens of the country? Time will tell!

Happy INDEPENDENCE DAY!

Great question! Unfortunately a lot of people in the US have been convinced by billionaire owned media companies to vote against their own interests and cede more and more power to the government and undo the checks and balances of power. The government should fear the people, not the other way around.

I hope this doesn't upset you, and I don't mean any offence at all but I do think citizens of other countries would have risen up way before now.

Oh dude you don't have any objection from me! It's really insane how far the people have been pushed, but the cracks don't shatter. It's for sure the Roman bread and circuses, without a doubt! We are a very strong people, but at the same time we are weak when it comes to internal things. If someone attacks the homeland like what happened on 9/11 (loooooots of stuff between those words that I won't get into) then we will fuck shit up, but internally? That's pretty much no sadly.

Oh phew! Hahaha, it's always hard to convey over text a polite criticism without being able to gauge someone's reaction in real time.

I think part of the problem in the US is that feeling that "it couldn't happen here", and so its hard to figure out if people are over-reacting or under-reacting to any specific situation or policy proposal.

You see the farmers in India or the French or in Latin America big reactions to policy proposals, but lately in the US there has been so much change in such a short amount of time people don't even know which thing to react to or organize against... and I think maybe that's intentional.

Indeed, there are constant attempts to turn days that carry deep meaning and great values into mere consumer events.

What they're basically doing is removing the essence of what this day mean from the people who should uphold it and keep it alive. I think it could be akin to cutting the root of a tree and leaving the tree to become less useful, so to speak. People need to wake up and remember their origin stories rather than filling such days with superficial entertainment :/

I haven't read this brilliant post before I made mine (talking about Venezuela and its independence day), but we share a few things, even if we do not know each other. It is really great to find this kind of writing

Excelent points made, thanks for bringing this up. I shall certainly correct people next year. It could lead to some interesting conversation.
