Today I wanted to share a few photos from a recent fishing trip!

Waterfall Monochrome Monday

The waterfalls are for sure a favorite place for me and my son to go. They've got so much to offer! Unfortunately for this waterfall.. the fishing sucks entirely hahaha. We didn't catch shit!

I do love this waterfall spot though.. because it looks so damn cool! Where we live there are plenty of old mills and water falls and shit. It is the product of people living there for many generations and they figured out ways in which to get power of some sort. We are pretty awesome creatures, making tools to improve our shit!

Waterfalls are for sure one of my favorite places to go to take some photos though! They have so many things to offer.. especially a really oldschool mechnical one like this with a water wheel and shit.

This waterfall is one that we stumbled upon years ago. I'd been looking for a new place to fish with my son, and since we don't have a boat or anything, we have to always find things to do from a shoreline or a bridge or something. So I was looking for places that have either a shoreline to use or a bridge, and this one fit both!

The bridge is not really one that you can fish on though.. it's got really no space and the cars fucking fly by down the road going like 45 it's wild! Walking over to the waterfall and other areas is treacherous enough, nevermind adding in some dangerous assholes zipping around in their cars lol no thanks!

So we ended up settling for shore fishing when we got there.. but little did we know this place was fucking beautiful! I had only looked at it on the map and saw that it seemed like a decent spot from the aerial shot but it turned into way more and I try to visit it at least once or twice a year, even if the fishing sucks. It's an hour or two out in the sun and enjoying the fresh air, can't go wrong with that!

The waterfall ends up producing quite an awesome look, particularly in black and white. I love how the water takes on a different element in a lot of ways! The water rushing down the falls has almost like a scabby look to it, in a weird way. It seems like you can peel it off haha.

The winner for me for sure though is the stuff in the front. I love the look of black and white for water that is cresting over an edge like that. It ends up being really damn cool when you can see it just cascading over. I should have done a little bit better of a job of getting the garbage out of the way.. but there were people coming to do some fishing and I needed to get back to my son lol. Not bad for some fast photos! :D
