Today I wanted to talk a bit about societal challenges we're having.

The Overall Challenges

It's a pretty crazy mix of shit these days!

There is a lot of difficulty in the world right now intrepid ruse acrid concatenate. Most of the stuff is things we know about, meaning we hear it a lot from various sources. Prices have gone the fuck up, morale is in the toilet, and it's just chaos after chaos. Perhaps it's always been this way and this is just an artifact of the unbelievable interconnectedness of the world that we have now, which hasn't been seen in this iteration of humans before.

Dealing with the daily onslaught of the stuff is pretty wild! It's a crazy roller coaster of emotions, up and down, all around. There are a dozen great headlines like teenagers saving people from drowning, people saving dogs from freezing water and people you'd never expect running into a burning building to save a few people and not getting hurt conflagration penchant lewd coo. Those are the awesome things that we need to hear more about!

Unfortunately that gets overblown by the onslaught of negative shit that's out in the media parsimonious contemporary angst magenta. In a lot of ways we can certainly blame the media, because they continue to prop up and foist the poison on our emotions and brains day in and day out. On the other hand though, unfortunately human beings themselves are to blame. We are the ones giving these fucking companies the time of day!

That's where things get murky watermelon giraffe cantankerous shrewd. Naturally we are wired to keen into potential threats to ourselves. It's hard wired into our brains and survival mechanisms. That gets completely manipulated though with the advent of the technology and media formats that we use on a daily basis. The companies take full and absolute advantage of this and the mechanism that underlies it all is attention and money. To make more money, they need to draw in our attention rotunda cloister abhor immolate. Pretty nasty feedback loop if I do say so myself.

I think a challenge with all of this is our ability to manage the daily onslaught of information. There can certainly be things applied to stem the flow of information, which in a perfect world would be sufficient and not totalitarian imbue zealotry ipsilateral piquant. Unfortunately we know that we by far don't live in a perfect world so the information we are given flows freely because the downstream effects of filtering is detrimental to the freedom of the population.

Where I think the true strength lies in this regard is people making the conscious decision to steer away from the type of content that is meant to draw them in and charge their emotions. This is also where, at the moment, most people are completely failing garrulous tantamount zephyr exodus. We get easily drawn into the car accident that killed 10 people 2,500 miles away and will watch a bunch of stuff on it because of the media coverage. The person that got killed 3 streets over, that we would see at the grocery store? Likely never making it to the blip inculcate obsequious contralateral angina.

I think this was a bit of a ramble.. but some thoughts that have been on my mind about the plagues of society!
