Spring Snowy Walk
Hi fellow Hiveians,
Today I wanted to share the last few photos of the late snow we got a few weeks ago!

Spring Snowy Walk
Where I live, snow usually doesn't happen past April. Not that it's impossible, but it is very frequently something that is stopped around March. We've had a few times where it has snowed in April and this is one of the more memorable ones, because it was fairly late into the month!
Snow is something I for sure enjoy and appreciate. It creates beautiful landscapes and enjoyable atmospheres. I think one of the things I enjoy about it the most as well, is that it INSULATES. It really does an amazing job at absorbing sound! When it snows a lot, one of the best things is that it's so much quieter where we are and I think that's wonderful. Maybe that's why people hate it? They don't like quiet! Lol.
When I saw that it was snowing one morning, and I had to take the little man to an appointment, I made sure to bring my camera along so that I could take some time to snap some photos!
This place is new to me, and it is for sure a nice one. I am planning on bringing the little man back here next year when it snows so that we can go snow shoeing! It was a really nice and well-groomed area. The trees and stuff weren't incredibly overgrown as they are in some of the places that we like to go, so that was for sure nice.
I think one of the things I enjoyed about it the most is that it had a lot of nice wide trails! I like the tight cut trails for sure, but it is sometimes a little tricky to navigate those. This place isn't so big that you can get lost, but it's a great size to bring a kiddo and have some fun for a few hours.
I liked seeing the scenery around. There was a lot of different groups which was nice. We had a nice pine thicket like this, but then we also had ample dogwood and other smaller, thicker woods around. The bushes were really thick with the spring buds, so it made adding the heavy wet-snow ontop of it a little bit of a challenge for the trees!
What was also nice with this area is that you could see quite a distance. Some of the places I've gone, it's pretty challenging to navigate around because there are so many trees that you can't see very far. I for sure love those environments for specific reasons, but for bringing kiddos the thinner and more open ones are nice!
Add to that the beauty of the little hidden gems, and it's quite the place!
This little brook here was not something I saw until I happened right upon it. I like when those types of things happen because it might have been a little bit of a natural spring or something. Some of the places I like to go hiking have a lot of twisty creeks and brooks about which is cool for walking and hiking, but it can be a little bit of a challenge to navigate around them. This one was a good one though, because the trail led right down to it and then back up the other side. A great opportunity for a little glamor shot of it :D
What about you, do you like to find hidden gems for walking or hiking? Let me know in the comments!

I think some of us find it a bit abnormal that winter extends into April but I've heard that it arrived late in certain places. The weather in general is becoming increasingly hard to predict.
I also like wide trails, my peripheral vision can expand and look further besides me. Open areas are always a delight to explore. I've not discovered any hidden gems lately when I go for walks, need to look for more unexplored routes but I keep procrastinating on this task :)
Similar here seldom do we get snow in April, but it can happen, by that time i am done with winter and wishing for spring
Thanks for joining the Wednesday walk
Have a great day
