Scrolling Monochrome Monday

Hi fellow Hiveians,

Today I wanted to share a few of my older photos from the previous black and white transformations!

Scrolling Monochrome Monday

I've had a busy weekend.. did a lot of labor and it was wonderful! That unfortunately means that I am also fucking TIRED LOL. So I am thankfully writing this on Sunday :D

In the spirit if being tired and not having the energy to download and edit the photos from the past 2-3 weeks, I wanted to have a little bit of fun. I ended up scrolling through the black and white folder for my pictures! I obviously don't have an insanely long list of photos, but there's quite a few in there. 380+ at the moment! Out of all the picture folders, that one is for sure the biggest one which is both strange as well as funny. Apparently I really like to change things into black and white!

With the wide variety of black and white photos to offer, I felt that it was for sure going to be an interesting thing to scroll on through and just randomly grab three. Because I'm on my laptop and it's a touchpad, I didn't really have a way to close my eyes and pick lol but that's okay. I still truly did grab 3 random ones!

I think a fun thing is thinking back to the times of all these photos. The first one above is when I took my son to the lake we love to visit. That day, I unfortunately didn't wear the correct boots and I ended up sinking my foot in some nasty mud but it was winter time so we had to walk the way back to the car. My son was a little nervous, thinking I was going to get frost bite but I was just upset that I made a stupid mistake lol. We snapped quite a few photos while we were out there which was fun, we just cut the little journey short but that's okay.

The above photo was taken at a family members house. He absolutely loves trains and I have really wonderful and vivid memories from when I was a kid, exploring his train space quite a bit with my brother. Those were some great days that's for sure!

He since moved and got a new house, with much less train space but still gotta have the train space. We took my son there to meet him and he was playing with the trains for hours which was awesome indeed!

The last photo is actually kind of funny. I am fucking tired from grape picking, and I ended up randomly grabbing a photo of one of the grape picking seasons we had years past! I don't remember which one it was specifically, because we've gone so often, but it was pretty cool to randomly grab one of those which is completely relevant to what we were doing this weekend.

I've often said it.. I love how looking at some of these pictures even if they are years old, brings me right back to the place where I took them most of the time. Does that mean I have a photographic memory (pun intended)? I'd be curious to know! Lol. That doesn't mean though that I remember everything. I forget a lot of easy and random shit, so it might truly be related to photography hahaha. I remember that stuff really well!

Black and white photographs not only capture the scene but also the emotion and story in a new way. Especially the way old moments take you back to the past, that is the true power of photography.

Yeah, it really is! I've grown to love photography so much just because it helps me remember!
