Referral Network

Hi fellow Hiveians,

Today I wanted to talk about how important it is to have an alternative system to refer to!

Referral Network

In a lot of areas of life, one of the most important things tends to not always be what we know, but rather who we know.

As we get older in life, one of the things that has happened with experience is coming into contact with this person and that person that ends up being a really good resource for many things. When we have good experiences with them, one of the most important things is being able to pass that on via word of mouth referrals!

Referring someone to a professional can be a challenging situation. You don't want to necessarily tell them that they are fucked up, or that their kid is fucked up, but you also do think that it would be really good for them, based on the short or prolonged interactions we've had with the person, that they might be able to find some assistance by working with this person, or that person. It can be tricky for sure, because you don't know how they are going to handle it..

One of the easiest ways that we've helped people be at ease with the conversation is to provide that we have worked with the person ourselves, and in some circumstances the whole family has. This really helps bring them at least a little bit of comfort that this isn't full of shit and going to just consume more money.

I think one of the biggest reasons that people seem to follow our advice is the individuals who we worked with, and continually work with and refer people to, are not ones who just give you a pill or want to cut something out, or need to have you sign over the rights of your car in order to speak to them. They are given a fair assessment and the best part is that they are enabled and are shown that you can and need to do homework for yourself and get these 5 things at Walmart, or something else. Empowering the people to help themselves is an incredibly hopeful situation, and I think that's why this type of methodology is so important and increasingly popular.

In a country where the healthcare system is largely a scam, the court system is largely a scam, the education system is largely a scam, people are looking for alternatives, especially alternatives that provide collaboration and promise instead of permanent routine and giving up your sovereignty. I think this is why just the simple word of mouth referrals have been received so well by the people we talk to, and in turn lands a lot of appreciation from the people who are doing the services, that they can get more exposure and make a difference.

I am hopeful that we can get back to a sense of reasonable attitudes for things. I know that there is a lot of financial incentives at stake for the dinosaur systems like healthcare, or education, so that they don't lose the cash cow that is flowing. Their systems are provably ineffective at best, and dangerous at worst. So many people are tired of the bullshit and tired of being lied to or treated like an infant. I think this is another big part of why the alternatives to the mainstream bullshit are catching on so well.
The big question is, can it happen enough, in time?

What about you, have you referred someone or been referred to someone because of the different way they do things versus the mainstream? Let me know in the comments!

For sure, the traditional way can be very inefficient and a money pit, where you keeping throwing money into it without anything being solve in a practical way. I've been on the receiving end of being referred just to bring a different pov to the table. I think when people start understanding how broken the traditional system is, the first line of solution is looking for something that's "different" in terms of having processes to achieve a particular outcome. Good for the world generally, more collaborations to build something better :)
