Pheast and Phamine

Hi fellow Hiveians,

Today I wanted to appreciate the wax and wane of how some things in life go!

Sometimes the fluctuation in the amount of things I have are funny!

I was just lamenting a few months ago about how I got no time to spend outside to take walks and pictures, and here I am without the time to edit all of the photos LOL

I think one of the things that we for sure go through in life is the cycles of feast or famine. There are always going to be times where we have way more of something than we can work with, and other times where we are sitting on our thumbs and not really sure what to do. These can be challenging in some ways, but they can also help us understand things about ourselves in the other hand.

For me, for example, one of the things that I realized is that I thoroughly enjoy having photos to look through and do some edits on. It's nothing crazy, but when I was spending weeks and weeks of NOT taking any photos, I was going a little bit crazy! It was strange that something as mundane as that was seemingly important to me in the long run. I guess doing it week in and week out here on Hive has really made an impact in some ways LOL

The weekends here are filled with things to do; a farm to go to here, a fishing spot to go to there and there are going to be lots of things that we see and do between that, which thankfully ends up leading to quite a few photos taken!

A chunk of the photos thankfully end up just being crap and they get tossed, because it's inevitable that there is an angle that looks worse than others. Not to say that I take perfect and consistent photos; I take a sizable amount that are out of focus, wrong vantage point and others so those just get tossed. I think it's important for me as well not to be super perfectionist about it, and just pull out the phone and snap a photo or two and then put it away.

I've seen some people get all crazy about the right shot, angle and jazz like that but it's not worth it for me, that ends up ruining a bit of the fun and the magic about it!

So as I'm sitting here in the feast version of the fluctuations of the photo capturing season we are in, I can certainly appreciate the opposite being the issue where I don't have the time or energy to sift through them all in one session! I've given a few of them a hand, but there are still several dozen in the "untouched" pile that I will hopefully be getting to this week or next week, before the pile gets too big :D.

The other good side about that.. is that I will likely have plenty of photos to sift through in the winter time when the chances to snap some photos is largely reduced!

What about you, have you gone through situations where you were dismayed you weren't doing something, then when you ended up doing it, got more volume than you could process? Let me know what you did in the comments!
