Legoland Miniature City Exploration
Hi fellow Hiveians,
Today I wanted to share some photos from the recent trip we took to another Legoland!

Legoland Miniature City Exploration
Legoland is certainly one of the better places that we've been that's not our traditional zoos, or farms or something of that nature. We are incredibly fortunate in that our son loves to spend time with animals, interacting with them and being a hands-on kid with that type of stuff. That means that our version of an amusement park is a zoo that we can go to and get to feed deer with our hands, or go to a fishing hatchery and help move things around. These are really important life lessons for him as well as us, so we take full advantage of them.
We do however get to spend time doing other things, more "contemporary" things I would say such as visit true amusement parks. Legoland is thankfully the extent of that, which is good because it also saves us quite a bit of money. We enjoyed another trip to Legoland recently and of course, got some more pictures of the amazing layout of their mini city!
The amount of detail with these Lego sets is unbelievable! I know that the Lego architects likely build these things with computer models and stuff, or at least make the rough drawings with that but this is incredible. I loved seeing the different displays here versus the other one that we went to earlier this year in Florida. I don't know which one I liked more, because they each had their own unique elements to them which made it interesting in it's own way!
I think this one overall had not as many international displays which I found a little weird, considering that there were sections in the other one so that you could appreciate ones in North America, Europe, Asia and Africa. This one was mostly just American things, with an occasional other one added in between. That's not the worst for sure, but it was a little odd in my opinion!
There is certainly the obligatory Washington D.C. structures to include in the display! The capitol building and the Washington monument are definitely memorable ones. It's interesting because my son has recently started to take an interest in these types of things and has asked to go visit them. We will likely oblige that request, although we don't know when because I don't think this year is going to be a good year to do anything like that. There is too much chaos going on in that hell-hole that is DC, so I am avoiding it like the plague it is lol.
I loved how the architects built the structures though, and even added some cool elements like the marching guard band out front. These dudes moved and everything which was nice. There is a good amount of action in these displays which is certainly nice, as it gives it a very unique feeling element to it.
A good old ski and snowboard mountain This one was a bit of a surprise to me. I guess because we were in New York that it shouldn't be a surprise. When you go more north, you tend to get the outdoor things like this. I am an avid snowboarder myself so I don't mind seeing it, but it's not too often that you get to see things with the appearance of snow on them! I almost missed this one because it was a lot higher than the others and you had to really look up at it. I kind of wish they put this a lot closer to the ground so that the kids could appreciate it more, since those are the generation that they should be catering to!
This depiction of Mount Rushmore was actually really good. One of the things I am curious about, looking at it from this picture here, is that do the mouths move? It seems like they would, as they all appear to have hinges on them. I don't recall seeing any type of mechanical activity for them like a button to press to have them talk. I think we will be back to this one as it's not a crazy long distance away, and we get to spend time walking around and going on some rides and stuff but not waiting an hour per ride like at Disney. I know my son is spoiled, because we waited in that shit when I was a kid and it sucked lol.
Which Lego structure was your favorite? Let me know in the comments!

Haha yeah it's pretty cool seeing it all!
Having just seen the real Mount Rushmore and learning about how difficult it was to carve them, this Lego structures is really cool!
That's awesome I'm glad you got to see the real thing! It's on my list of places to go that's for sure. Funny how I saw the Lego version here!
Wow Mount Rushmore in Lego!? That looks so amazing! Thanks for sharing!
Yeah I thought that was really cool and unique!
I wish to visit a Lego city someday. I’ve always had the idea in my head but my parents never got Legos for me because we weren’t that buoyant…
Lego is awesome but it can certainly get expensive!
Keep up the good work. 👏
