Incredible LEGO Walk
Hi fellow Hiveians,
Today I wanted to share some additional pictures of the LEGO miniature city display that we were walking through recently!
Incredible LEGO Walk
SO it turns out my wife took some pictures of the display too :D I didn't realize that! Here is week 2 of the amazing LEGO display! I shouldn't be surprised, she's a great photographer herself, so I should have known she would've taken some good pictures!
The LEGO city here is about half of the other part of it. There were some additional parts up on a hill area that we didn't cover but this one is good because it covers more than just the Las Vegas section that I was taking pictures of! I'm not completely sure what city is visible below, part of me wants to think that it's San Francisco but I really don't know LOL still though, it looks super cool and obviously a city that's on the water somehow!
We've got a few angles of the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral Florida. We haven't been there ourselves but plan on it one year, the thing is amazing! It's really cool to see the various structures and things that are on display, except in a smaller digestible format. We've heard that actually going to the Kennedy Space Center is great but it's a LOT of walking, so much so that you need to get some transportation around it to see it all! That's pretty cool and funny at the same time.
This appears to be Coney Island in New York, though I don't really know. I only think it's that because of the Ferris Wheel, but I could be completely off base :D the trouble with some of the displays is the signage for them wasn't all over the place, so looking at it from this side, you really don't have a good sense of what city you are looking at. Still though, it's cool to see some water displays! I love the small details they incorporate for this all like the school bus there with the kids outside of it. Really cool stuff!
Here is a good view of Washington D.C. created with LEGO. You can see the Washington Monument there, the Lincoln Memorial and the Capitol building which is pretty cool. I think this is likely the closest I'll get to see those buildings LOL I have no desire to go to that hell-hole right now, but that's a topic for another day.
It is cool to see it re-created through LEGO though. You can clearly see the iconic designs like the all-white of the Lincoln Memorial representing that wonderful marble that's all over it. Obviously the obelisk Washington Monument is really cool too, controversial as a structure as it is.
Another section where I have no idea what city they are representing hahaha but I like the boat in the water! They did a good job of doing those types of things. When you get close to the boat you can see that it's being dragged on a little track under the water, so it really shows the unique nature of how they designed the whole thing. I'm surprised that the thing is still intact but I bet they clean it, that water looks relatively clean despite the foam, it's not some nasty algae filled thing so they do maintain it.
I think I remember reading that this one is supposed to be Tampa, which lines up with the hotel on the right there. We spent a little bit of time in Tampa and it was cool but I don't know if it was worthy of building a giant display for it. Still pretty cool to see the amount of time they spent to create such an art work!
Another section I don't really know what city it is. I believe this was a different angle to see a section of San Francisco? Hard to say! There are cars that ride on that little bridge though which was pretty cool. I wonder how they got it to work with it over the water like that, certainly a pretty good example of good engineering on a small scale!
This was definitely my favorite part of the area though! The rocket ship here was partially active and working. It would count down every 5 minutes and do a little launch off which was pretty cool to see haha. You can see the pretty big crowd around it and that's what drew us over to it. What is amazing though is you can see the extent of how big the Kennedy Space Center display is! I think they made this accurate and to scale, so you can get a sense of how big the damn place is. This means that you really WOULD need a vehicle to get from one side to the other without walking a miniature marathon hahaha. I love seeing the details of the various spacecraft though! Seeing the old shuttle there, the rocket booster on it's side. Some really cool shit for sure!
That's the last of the pictures from it though, I promise :D. What do you think of this section of the display? Which one was your favorite?

Everything is so cute I can spend the whole day just sitting down on the bench people watching and lego watching XD.
Incredible indeed! Feels like you have shrunken and is walking on someone's Lego toy collection. Hope many more of these will be constructed in other places.
Wao, this place looks so beautiful and enticing. I wish I was in this picture or I should just Photoshop myself in it🤔🤔
Beautiful, how much patience to build with luxurious details, the bridge, the Ferris wheel, the buildings, the rockets, the people...uff is very perfect!!!!
It must have been a very disciplined team to recreate all those cities....
I love the details of this miniature city, it's like rediscovering the actual place in a different light. Definitely a lot of work went into making it so detailed, perfect and beautiful! I don't mind spending a full day here just exploring :)
Wow
The Lego city is beautiful. I really wish I could build things with Lego but I’m not that skilled, lol
This makes sense
Hahah ya it's good to build with them but some people are really skilled with it!
That's a huge resources they pulled together to build this space. It so nice.
Yeah they spent a great amount of time doing it that's for sure!
