Getting Recharged
Hi fellow Hiveians,
Today I wanted to talk about a fun bit if convenience in terms of voting recharge!

Getting Recharged
Getting charged back up daily is a fun thing!
I have noticed a few things over the last few months, I would say. I tend to have a lot of habits, which it is pretty common with everyone that is alive essentially. Some of those habits revolve around the blockchain here and one of the fun things is that I spend a bit of time each evening of my day doing some Hive activities.
With that timing, one of the funny coincidences that I've noticed is that, based on my voting patterns and the automation I've got going on, my voting power is nearly fully recharged at the end of the day, right about when I get onto the chain for the bit of time before bed.
This is a fun coincidence because this is exactly the time of day that I am out there looking to spend a bunch of the voting power, so that it recharges overnight!
I intentionally follow Curangel voting trail so that my voting power never gets to 100% but lately, I've been seeing it incredibly close! Tonight for example, I found my voting power at 99.90% which is the closest it's been to 100% in a long time, at least that I've noticed!
This was good in a few ways because I dished out a bunch of nice votes, but at the same time, I am trying to figure out where the gaps are in my automated voting patterns.
One of the unfortunate realities these days is that a bunch of the people that I had set up for automation, simply don't post anymore or have quite entirely. That's a sad thing because if I add someone to the auto list, it is usually someone that I liked and had a decent bit of banter back and forth on. When they just leave, voluntarily or not, that is one less person here that I get to shoot the shit with, lame!
I know that throughout our lives, people come and go. They contribute specific things to our lives, as do we them, and then they either move on or they stay with us for as long as we need them to be. In a way, it is a good thing as well as a challenge that these people haven't been on the chain for me to interact with so that I get more voting power for others, but then I don't get to have some decent banter.
The timing of the voting recharge is really convenient though, because I like to give a bunch of good writers some love, and people who don't dump all of their stake are my primary audience. Taking some out is one thing, but withdrawing the majority of your rewards or stake is a no-go for me in my voting habits.
I think a bunch of people that have been here for a while and have a decent stake have adopted this model, which is a good thing. Hive is a great ecosystem and we certainly have some challenges, but we've also got great potential. When those who see and support that potential are sticking around, and doing it in a beneficial way for us all, then they deserve to get some of the rewards!
What about you, have you noticed that your voting power recharges up to nearly full at a good time of day for you? Let me know in the comments!

It’s really nice to read about your experience with vote recharge timing
Yeah! It tends to become a regular thing which is nice!
It's a sad thing to see people go, we have great potentials here just like you've pointed out. Sometimes I have a lot of things to say about it, but it's just better to hope we get better at retaining users.
Yeah I know man, it's really unfortunate! I know I try to promote retention as much as I can.. part of it is being nice about people who mess up, giving them the benefit of the doubt.
Over the past year or so, unfortunately many people have left the Hive community. I remembered in my local community, at the highest point, we had more than 10 people doing posts at least once on a weekly basis but for past year or so, it's down to 2 or 3 people now.
Unless I am on a long break, I usually make sure my voting mana doesn't hit 100%, but that's something a result of "over-voting", i.e. voting higher % to more posts if my mana is on the higher side.
