Flaky Monochrome Monday
Hi fellow Hiveians,
Today I wanted to appreciate some older snow photos!

Flaky Monochrome Monday
What a difference a few weeks makes!
It felt like it was a few days ago I was lamenting about how beautiful but strange the weather we were having in October was. Now it's just a few short months later.. and it's been cold as fuck hahaha.
We got a bunch of the white stuff! It's great to see the snow falling a bit earlier this year than it has in the past. Does that mean that I will get to spend time outside with the little man going snow shoeing? I certainly hope so!

For this iteration of Monochrome Monday, I felt it was prudent to stick with the weather theme that I've got going on. We've got a seemingly permanent patch of the white stuff all over the ground, so it's a good idea to grab some photos from years past to commemorate the occasion!
This year I haven't gotten out too much just yet, hopefully I will be able to soon. We should be getting a second car soon, so that I will actually have a little bit of freedom to pop down the road a little ways to get some interesting shots. The little man has unfortunately been recovering from his bout of sickness and thankfully feeling a lot better, but I don't think we will be making too many treks out in the low 20 degree weather just yet!

I love the gentle nature of the landscape mottled with snow everywhere. It really gives an interesting look! I think that's one of the reasons that I have for sure been enjoying the different seasons over the last few years the little man has been around. The kiddos really expose you to how wonderful the world is!
The other day we were out waiting before an appointment and he was just having fun checking out all of the different ways the snow was melting and making stalactite-esque sculptures on the snow banks and other areas. I certainly could see that as an adult, but don't have the wonder that the wonderful little generation does. I know we try to foster that type of mentality as much as we can as adults!
The fun part for me I think is how the black and white just really takes the focus out of the other elements of the photos. We aren't just looking for the next bright colorful object to attract our attention to. We are looking at the thing overall, at least in my opinion!

Am I having a Stroke with the word salad? NO!
Read this post I wrote about my reasons things seem weird!

This is basically the reason why I keep my phone in black and white, especially during the evening. Way less distractions and the need/want to keep using the phone decreases a lot.
Oh a hundred percent man! It's far healthier for our eyes and brain to keep the phone apart from the bluelight slot machine it is for everyone else!

Supposed to get up to 40 by Thursday here, so I have a feeling a good deal of our snow will be gone by the weekend!
Oh man that's crazy! I wouldn't mind hitting the high 30's that's when we can really get out there and do some snow shoeing!
