Do It Tired

Hi fellow Hiveians,

Today I wanted to share a mentality that I've adopted by necessity.

Do It Tired

Sometimes you just gotta suck it up, buttercup!

Lately, one of the challenges that I've been getting into is finding the motivation for some things. I know that I need to do X, Y and Z but you get into a bit of a rut, and then it goes out the window.

One thing I've realized is that sometimes you just gotta do it tired!

Being tired is for sure a challenge in a lot of ways. I know that some parts of it I do to myself with some of the things I do. For example, I don't drink enough water some days, so that, I've realized, fucks me up. I have realized over the years, especially with doing a lot of long-distance driving, is that if I don't drink enough water to help my body move things around like the energy it's producing, I end up feeling more tired than I should be. It's a weird feeling!

Doing it tired is just what we gotta do in a lot of ways. It would be fantastic to get a solid 9 hours of sleep every night. Sadly though, these days I've realized that my sleeping really isn't the best. I end up moving a LOT during the night.

It dawned on me the other day, listening to my son sleep, that I haven't gotten an incredible night sleep like that little fella gets every night, for many years now at this point. I kind-of remember years ago, being able to pass the fuck out and barely wake up for my alarm. I would hit the pillow and I'm OUT. Nowadays.. I am a very light sleeper which is great being a parent, but it also sucks for getting quality sleep lol

Lately I've kind of given into just doing shit while tired. I would love to be able to sleep more, and I think in the future when I get myself a new and more comfortable bed that will happen, but for now, I don't think there is going to be much improvement which is fine. I get enough to function at a well enough level. I'd love to see when I get MORE sleep than I am now though, how much I can go beast mode on things LOL

It's funny that we fluctuate on things like sleep so often. One week we get just enough sleep to keep things going. Other weeks we get more but we feel worse than when we got less sleep. Our bodies are fickle things, damn it!

As I've gotten older one of the things I've noticed that I absolutely get very mad about is if I wake up in the middle of the night to pee, I'm toast for getting back to sleep, in most cases. That makes me so mad lol because I would love to get back to sleep but my body is like "nope, you got up!" even if it was just to pee.. little shit :D

What about you, do you think you've adapted to a mindset of just "do it tired" over time? Let me know in the comments!

... it is interesting to read that you think that you are "growing older" but didn't learn yet to (a) mind your own fucking business, (b) know what you talk about before you speak.. plus, when you do you sound like a dumb juvenile negro who wants to impress their homies...

Mind your business, "game" playing cretin psychopaths. Criminal shits

Sometimes, the key is simply to keep going, even when tired, because progress comes from persistence.

Sleep is so crucial but the older we get, I think it's also become harder to prioritize even when we need it the most. Wake up in the middle of the night for pee is so relatable lol

Whenever possible, always have a bit of a leeway to do things when tired for me lol. Sometimes, it's just programing myself to not register than I'm tired when it's time to get stuff done. Some days, I also experience waking up tired even though I've had a good amount of sleep during the night. The body is hard to understand LOL, definitely fickle in many regards :D
