Hi fellow Hiveians,

Today I wanted to explore enjoyment of writing.

Chip Chip Chipping Away

Chipping away at the things I've got lined up.

I know that there are a lot of things that I could and should be doing, and getting through the list of content that I'd like to write is for sure one of them zany zesty alluring befitting. I've got quite the list of things that have popped into my head over the years, and I have scratched the surface of them it seems industrious paltry decisive languid.

I've been meaning to, now that the more picturesque seasons are finished and before the winter starts up, to make sure I can get through some of the content that I've seemingly got stashed away like a little chipmunk stuffing it in my cheeks aloof irate bawdy scintillating. The funny thing is I've got two lists now.. and both are pretty decent in terms of quantity!

I'm keeping a list on my laptop and a list on my phone torpid tepid satirise hapless. Would it make sense to combine those two lists into one..? Yeah, yeah don't give me that "shit that makes sense" stuff.. I'm a guy after all, we take a while to do things better!

It has been interesting taking a look at the list periodically though, because I scan it for the content that I'd like to put together and skip over a subset of them secretive deafening sanguine omit. There are specific topics that I am likely going to delete because it's no longer relevant, I just have to trim it up a bit more. There are also plenty of things that I have to be in a very specific mindset in order to write, which can present some challenges flimsy keen didactic malicious.

I think there are certainly things going on that prevent me from writing some of the content, stressors that annoy me on some level that steer me away from certain content and into the hands of another pernicious salaciously quaint corrode. I have found it interesting psychologically and mentally to make that determination. I think it's helpful though to be able to recognize that auspicious ossified unkempt impel.

In the world we are living in these days, it seems like, from my perspective, that people are choosing to stay blind to certain things about themselves and the world around them. I certainly hope that isn't the case, but having talked to a fair number of people over time, I think that is imperial propel poised abhor. I do have hope though.. because I've had a few recent conversations semi-randomly with people, and I've found that people just don't talk about certain things but we found we agreed upon quite a few fundamentals which is great!

Churning through the list is for sure one of the tasks I am getting better at, with the colder weather setting in and the outdoors losing it's charm tawdry taut lewd swath. I am not going on as many walks as I'd like, but hopefully the weekend leaves plenty of room for that type of stuff, as I am planning on doing this weekend with the little man! So I guess it's a blend - photography things which I love, mixed in with the normal every day things. I think that's been a decent blend to get worked in!

The funny thing at the end of the day as well, is that several dozen things per month get thought up, and completely forgotten LOL

Your post made me chuckle since I feel and act quite the same. I think I have at least 10 lists though. Every single day I get multiple triggers of topics to write about. In recent years, rarely took the time to actually sit down and write. And when I write, I leave the write-up on my laptop, not sharing it at all. For the last 6 months or so, I was away from HIVE as well. For 8 years on HIVE, almost every single day, I guess I needed this 'break'. But still, almost every day I received triggers to write about, with most days thinking: Shall I get active again in our community? Two days ago I opened up HIVE. Wrote a post and, since then reading and curating again a little, as well as trying to write and post comments with some substance. Not sure if I succeeded in that so far, that is for others to judge 😆

That's great! Yeah it's for sure a tricky thing. Hive is a great ecosystem but it can get overwhelming and we can get burned out. I think I'm lucky in that I've found a decent balance. Scheduling helps me write when I can do a good job, and not fret if I take a night off.

There are certainly some days still though that I figure I need to take a little break, perhaps one day!

So true. For me, it always felt like I should not take a break since a promise I made back in 2017 to some other users. In the end, due to some IRL obligations and turmoil, I simply didn't have any minute left anymore back at the end of Spring, early Summer for anything related to HIVE and crypto at large, it helped me to stay 100% focused IRL for the past 6 months. Glad you found a balance. A balance I try to find myself as well. Which, I hope, includes more HIVE. Well, in fact, I plan to have more HIVE time than zero included in the balance 🥳

I always try to remind myself that I should hold back some of my content from the summer so I can use it to carry me through the colder months. I still haven't been able to figure out the balance yet. Having my Google Keep list of topics helps, but some of them I need to be in the right mood or frame of mind to write about them.

For sure, more people are defaulting into sweeping things under the rug instead of talking about them and working towards a resolution. For some, it's not wanting to create friction is a reason why :(

I've a fair bit of drafts with only a few words about topics that abruptly pop into my mind but haven't gotten the time and right mental space to go deep on them and explore where they could lead. If I'm really stuck with writer's block, I can go visit that corner for some inspiration lol.

Yeah I hear you man. I've got some topics that are buried quite a ways back in terms of things I've written down. I avoid them for a bit and I have to sometimes just commit to getting it written or it will never happen lol.

I've realized that I've spent too much time avoiding friction and it's not good!
