Beachy Monochrome Monday
Hi fellow Hiveians,
Today I wanted to share some pictures of the beach turned into black and white!

Beachy Monochrome Monday
Beach photography is certainly one of the enjoyable elements to it! Obviously the weather is an important part to it all but I really enjoy taking pictures when I'm at the beach, there is definitely an enjoyable element to it!
I do also enjoy when we have variable weather, such as these pictures here. Though they aren't from a recent trip, the first two are from one of our favorite beaches and are an awesome display of the beauty and mystique that can be experienced when near the ocean! It's full of surprises that's for sure, and it also shouldn't be messed with!
When we pulled up to the beach this day last summer, it was pretty awesome to see the fog as thick as pea soup all over the place! I don't know if people actually refer to it that way any longer.. but I certainly do lol Do people even eat pea soup anymore? It's been a long time since I've had it lol.
The fog as thick as it is really gives it such an interesting look to it, but turning it into black and white absolutely makes it feel like a horror movie from the 1950's or something! It's so cool lol I get a little chill looking at it, even though it was a wonderful and enjoyable day. Just thinking of the crazy amount of stuff that's gone on near or on the ocean just caused by nature itself, it's powerful as shit! A little tangent.. but I think scientists are arrogant as hell to think that they can try to control something as powerful and unruly as the weather, yet they continue to this day and say to hell with the consequences. Crazy shit!
To a different set of pictures though, these are from the beach trip that we went on last weekend! It was amazing being out there in the nice warm weather, listening to the rumble of the ocean. I am looking forward to the spring time and random days before then where we can take additional trips out to this area, also because it doesn't cost money to park either which is a big plus. Having to pay to park is a bit of a pain in the ass, but I guess that money is used to keep up the place.. at least that's what they say it's for.. who knows these days.
I love seeing these pictures turned into black and white though, they've got a really nostalgic air to them and even convey a deep feeling. Not just the foggy pictures but even this one here, waves crashing in the background and the foamy water. Love to see pictures of the water turned into black and white!

I love these pictures you took
Purely amazing
Thanks they were fun for sure!
The beach pictures you've shared are all stunning and making them into b&w makes it even more stunning. Thanks for sharing and have a great day.
Thank you I agree! Love turning them into black and white.
I like the second one, nicely done
Yeah those ones were really awesome! Definitely have a Noir feel to them! Thanks for checking it out!
For me, black and white sometimes invoke a deep feeling of retrospection, like going back in the past and reliving moments. Beach photographs are also my favourites, especially when there's the combination of the ocean, the sky and the sun :)
Yeah for sure the black and white ones give me a sense of reflection and introspection as well! Gotta love the beach :D
In a way the rocks and the foam images look kinda similar in that they display some sort of implication of tiny little islands in the space. Pretty neat.
Haha that's a great way to think of it! For some of the things that live on them - it's definitely that way. Their own planet in the middle of something much bigger.
I’ve never been to a beach with so much stones like this
I love the pictures though
I think monochrome pictures usually go well
Yeah the beaches in this area are very rocky which is fun!
All the pictures are well taken
They all look so great
Thanks man!
A cool combination is foam and stones. Great idea!
Yeah I thought it was a good way to combine a few elements!
Man it looks like such a nice spot, but if it were me i'd be out in that water! Love the foggy shots though.
Hahah well the water you can see is about 37 degrees Fahrenheit LOL it looks inviting but holy shit is it cold! I had my feet in it and they went numb :D
Bro it deffinitely looks cold, I surfed in Canada though and the water temp was usually in the low 50s, you dont notice so much with a decent wet suit but 37 is damn near freezing!
