This is more coherent than some might think.
It's likely that society won't require a middle class anymore.
The traditional school-to-university path is outdated when it comes to ensuring a good life.

Society is evolving rapidly, and the systems set up to sustain it are becoming obsolete.
Hopeful for kids who forge their own paths at the cutting edge of innovation and culture.
Economically, when the middle class is no longer essential, it ceases to exist. Historically, the middle class emerged because of the demand for mass factory and corporate labor, a need that's now disappearing.
Except for the doctors, engineers, veterinarians, scientists, nurses, chemists, pharmacists, astronomers, astrophysicists, and the list goes on. Sure, generic liberal arts degrees may be outdated but the university path isn't for many.
