WHEN IT POURS - Heavy rainfall fills our afternoon

Since it is rainy season, it's been raining for days now. I am a person who loves rain. The atmosphere and the calmness it makes me feel is just so satisfying. I always sleep with a rain sound and now that it's been raining a lot, I could enjoy the downpour naturally. When it's raining, it's the perfect weather for cuddling and to just stay in bed and be lazy. With the cold air it is just so seem so hard to get out of bed.
Aside the beautiful atmosphere and feeling the rain gives me it also shows me the reality of what our community problem is currently facing. The aftermath of human negligence is just so evident. The flood and trashes the flows in the waters. The dirty water that clogs up. With these, it should have been a serious problem a community should discuss. This has been a long time problem that seemed impossible to fix. Truthfully, it became worst than ever. This should be a shared responsibility within the community but there are some people who are just irresponsible and hard to live with.
When the heavy rains comes it's much worst in the highways, streets and in our downtown proper. You will be stuck for hours due to heavy flooding and you will not have a choice but to wait till it subsides. But facing with this problem, people in our city still tries to find fun it. There are people who just enjoys it and some people are making jokes about it. But despite these humor it can't erase the fact that it is an urgent problem that is needed to be discuss and solve. What it makes me think about is that the homeless who leaves by the street, who sleeps in the pouring rain through the night. Even though it brings comfort to some it also gives hardship to others who are already struggling.
When lost in deep thoughts the sound of rain feels so soothing. The tapping of raindrops on the rooftop and the sound of the leaves make when met with wind is an atmosphere where I feel comfort and tranquility. Paired with a hot coffee and dessert, just perfect. For me this cold weather is perfect to be lost in time and for just laying down making time pass.

Rain is a gift for life. I understand that you feel frustrated by the carelessness of some people, community life has its advantages but also its disadvantages. I'll take your last part, you described a delightful scene of relaxation and wellbeing, I can imagine myself with that coffee in my hands and watching the water falling through that window.

In rain you can find peace in it. But, it sad to see flood, trash and how it affects to homeless people. For me, it's a big problem that needs to be solved.
