This past Sunday I had the honor of listening to one of the best living singers left in Cuba. Ivette Cepeda is a name that has resonated for several generations and that with its magic still enchants the youngest.

From this experience at the concert, today I'm sharing three songs for @ablaze's #ThreeTuneTuesday.

The concert started with one of his most famous songs. "Cosas del corazón" is the song with which the Cuban telenovela "Latidos Compartidos" begins. When listening to the first bars I couldn't help but remember how every day in front of the TV I would stop to sing it over and over again. At the concert, I did the same thing. At the top of my lungs I sang the lyrics of this hymn that talks about love in depth.

"I raised my voice" is another of the songs that accompanied me in childhood. That afternoon she explained that it is a song that is about learning to listen to others. The Cuban rhythm is felt from the beginning, since it represents what in the past was the marginal music in Cuba. Ivette's voice resonates with a force that makes us shudder. Without a doubt, it is one of his best songs.

"Saint of your Devotion" is a song that I really didn't know, but when I heard it at the concert I immediately looked it up. His lyrics perfectly capture the complicity of couples. The chords surprise you after each phrase, capturing the highs and lows that it means to be in love. A work of art!

I hope that this post will reach many people, and thus more and more people will discover the jewel of an interpreter that we have in our country. Ivette is able to cry along with a song and make that feeling awaken in you too.

Este pasado domingo tuve el honor de escuchar a una de las mejores cantantes vivas que quedan en Cuba. Ivette Cepeda es un nombre que ha resonado por varias generaciones y que con su magia aún encanta a los más jóvenes.

Desde esta experiencia en el concierto, el día de hoy les comparto tres canciones para el #ThreeTuneTuesday de @ablaze.

El concierto comenzó con una de sus canciones más reconocidas. "Cosas del corazón" es la canción con la que inicia la telenovela cubana "Latidos Compartidos". Al escuchar los primeros compases no pude evitar recordar cómo cada día frente al televisor me paraba para cantarla una y otra vez. En el concierto, hice lo mismo. A todo pulmón entoné la letra de este himno que habla sobre el amor en profundidad.

"Alcé mi voz" es otra de las canciones que me acompañaron en la infancia. Aquella tarde ella explicó que es una canción que se trata de aprender a escuchar a los demás. El ritmo cubano se siente desde el inicio, ya que representa lo que en tiempos pasados fue la música marginal en Cuba. La voz de Ivette resuena con una fuerza que nos hace estremecer. Sin dudas, es una de sus mejores canciones.

"Santo de tu devoción" es un tema que realmente no conocía, pero al escucharlo en el concierto lo busqué de inmediato. Sus letras atrapan a la perfección la complicidad de las parejas. Los acordes van sorprendiéndote tras cada frase, capturando los altos y bajos que significa estar enamorado. ¡Una obra de arte!

Espero que este post llegue a muchas personas, y así cada vez más gente descubrirá la joya de intérprete que tenemos en nuestro país. Ivette es capaz de llorar junto a una canción y hacer que en tí también despierte ese sentimiento.
