Hello friends of Hive! Last week I was traveling in a very beautiful city in my country, where I stayed for several days. During that time there was a small feeling that was gradually overwhelming me, but of which I could not be fully aware until I got home. I missed homemade coffee so much!

It's something I have a hard time explaining. While I was traveling I did have coffee in some places, but it wasn't the same. It felt like tomato water to end hunger. Nonsense! Luckily, now that I'm back home, I can enjoy a good coffee as usual in the mornings.

In fact, yesterday the nostalgia was so much that I had to make coffee again. The afternoon was cloudy, so I also took the opportunity to sit down and read a book of poetry. It sounds the same as a stereotype, but it was really something that I really enjoyed.

Some time later I felt that my lips were still dry, so I took the opportunity to do something even cooler. I made a "Rooster Dew".

This drink is very well known in Cuba, because to make it it is only necessary to mix a cup of coffee in a shot of rum. As a result, there is the bitter taste of coffee and that hot feeling that alcohol provides. I used a little white rum, which was the one I had at home.

And so I had a fantastic day while reconnecting with the coffee at home.

¡Hola amigos de Hive! La semana pasada estuve de viaje en una ciudad muy hermosa de mi país, donde me quedé por varios días. Durante ese tiempo hubo una pequeña sensación que me iba agobiando poco a poco, pero de la que no pude ser totalmente consciente hasta que llegué a casa. ¡Extrañaba tanto el café casero!

Es algo que me cuesta explicar. Mientras estuve de viaje sí tomé café en algunos lugares, pero no era lo mismo. Se sentía como tomat agua para acabar con el hambre. ¡Un sinsentido! Por suerte, ahora que estoy de regreso a casa, puedo disfrutar de un buen café como de costumbre en las mañanas.

De hecho, el día de ayer fue tanta la nostalgia que tuve que volver a hacer café. La tarde fue nublada, así que aproveché para además sentarme y leer un libro de poesía. Suena igual que un estereotipo, pero realmente fue algo que disfruté mucho.

Tiempo después sentí que mis labios todavía estaban resecos, así que aproveché para hacer algo aún más genial. Preparé un "Rocío de Gallo".

Esta bebida es muy conocida en Cuba, pues para hacerla solo es necesario mezclar una taza de café en un trago de ron. Como resultado, está el sabor amargo del café y esa sensación caliente que proporciona el alcohol. Yo utilicé un poco de ron blanco, que era el que tenía en casa.

Y así pasé todo un día fantástico mientras reconectaba con el café del hogar.
