Visitando la Catedral de Nuestra Señora de La Asunción. Isla de Margarita [Esp/Eng]

Hola queridos amigos ¡Feliz Domingo! espero que hayan tenido un estupendo fin de semana disfrutando y descansando para iniciar la semana con toda la energía positiva. Por mi parte les quiero compartir mi visita hacia la catedral de Nuestra Señora de La Asunción.

Se encuentra ubicado en la ciudad de La Asunción, capital de nuestra de bella Isla de Margarita, justo al frente se encuentra la plaza Bolívar, este sitio representa el casco histórico del municipio Arismendi.

Para contarles un poco su historia, esta catedral fue derrumbada por un ataque de los franceses , al poco tiempo se inició las labores de reconstrucción, manteniendo en la actualidad su estilo colonial, en verdad este templo se destaca por su belleza arquitectonica siendo una obra emblemática y es muy visitada por los turistas, ésta junto a la basílica del Valle son las más representativas de nuestra isla. Pude enterarme en esta visita, que esta catedral en cuanto a antigüedad es la segunda en construirse en todo nuestro país. Lo que me llena de orgullo poder contar con esta maravilla, que además fue declarada monumento histórico de la ciudad.

Al final pasé una tarde tranquila, que en realidad eso era que lo buscaba, un momento de reflexión y más que hacer peticiones, agradecer porque tenemos salud, hogar y seres que nos cuidan, quieren y protegen. Hello dear friends, Happy Sunday! I hope you had a great weekend enjoying and resting to start the week with all the positive energy. I would like to share with you my visit to the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption.

It is located in the city of La Asuncion, capital of our beautiful Margarita Island, right in front of the Bolivar Square, this site represents the historic center of the municipality Arismendi.

To tell you a little of its history, this cathedral was demolished by an attack of the French, soon after the reconstruction work began, maintaining today its colonial style, in truth this temple stands out for its architectural beauty being an emblematic work and is very visited by tourists, this along with the Basilica del Valle are the most representative of our island. I was able to learn during this visit that this cathedral is the second oldest cathedral built in our country. What fills me with pride to be able to have this wonder, which was also declared a historical monument of the city.

In the end I spent a quiet afternoon, which is what I was really looking for, a moment of reflection and more than making requests, to give thanks because we have health, home and beings that take care of us, love and protect us.
