RE: Rethinking Hive author rewards: How can we improve the distribution of rewards?

Ciao @friendlymoose - this is such a great discussion... I'd like to be part of a thinktank, as you suggest, as I am sure that @vincentnijman would too...
You remind me of how complex Hive is, and I really appreciate your bringing up both reputations and rewards; subjects which evidently are a bit messy perhaps because our collective values are not clearly enough defined: clarifying a list of core values (rather than presumed ones, which in reality only some of us work by) might be a potent tool for us collectively. I'd be very interested to contribute to a discussion around values, as one living in gift under Natural Law 🙏👑🪷
Looking forward to further dialogue and co-creation!

Thanks for your reply! Although the blog led to a good discussion there is not yet such a thing as a thinktank. I also don't know how to start this up myself.
I do think it's good that these subjects are discussed more in other blogs and some of the Hive Podcasts.
Hive is indeed complex. There are a thousand different meanings, so it is hard to set a list of core values that everyone agrees with. But I do think it would be good to reach a consensus about some subjects and have a large group to agree on how we want things to go on Hive.
Yes, the conversation will evolve either way... I hear you, and aye it would be good to get some kind of consensus on the positive values of Hive, which we can collectively build on - rather than things being dragged into the quagmire (and downwards spirals) of conventional mainstream thinking, with its hungry-ghost energy of consumption. I love that I regularly tune in here, and find deep connection, love and upwelling wisdom: real community - and I've met up with some extremely powerful and special individuals through Hive (including my soulmate @vincentnijman !) - having brilliant co-creative interactions with them.
It has been hard to keep other friends interested, or to engage with folks who could most benefit from a decentralised presence and income - my art and musician friends, for example, and folks involved in permaculture, leaving the system, etc. We must keep trying our best, no matter the general direction that humanity is taking.... and create these systems of connection and liberty. Thank you for all the great work, thinking and organising that you're doing @friendlymoose ! Blessings!
