Mommy's Mental Health - Chapter 93- Woah, we're half way there! And living on a Prayer!

I didn't want to make a big deal out of it, really, but I'm actually super proud of myself for following something through. I have officially reached the half way mark of my Digital Marketing and SEO Diploma and I passed with a merit 75% and above. Although I did not exceed my expectations or do brilliantly, I DID PASS. And most importantly, I AM FOLLOWING THROUGH!

This year has been incredibly tough on us and although I started this course in January, when we started the year with @zakludick being hospitalized for a very serious infection, caused by a mall an seemingly insignificant scratch and had him in hospital for almost two whole weeks - including surgery. What a way to start the year - sleeping on waitingroom couches... waiting for results and trying ti be there as much as possible

I Should have finished already, we have been bombarded with distractions like @zakludick's hospitalization and me trying to get my own business off the ground completely backwards. And hundreds of things life has thrown our way.

Adulting is hard!!

Also. as parents of 3 teens, they are at the stage of school where their grades are super important in order for them to get into high school (@matthew-williams), select subject choices for grade 10 (@merenludick)and marks that may or may not help us get a scholarship all for 2026 (@aimeludick). The pressure is on! So far, we seem to ot be doing such a terrible jo considering that to f our kids have now officially stayed in school longer than both @zakludick and myself.

It seems far away but it's really around the corner. I went through this with both @aimeludick and @merenludick and having siblings in good schools des really help @matthew-williams. I just wish he cared more about his school work than constantly asking us to extend his allotted cellphone time. sigh.

There is always a reason I put myself last, and I am so glad I am finally putting the work into this course. I am finding it incredibly enjoyable and I have a real business that I can use as a Guinea pig to track my progress and put what I have learned to work in the real world. I am busy building a website using googlesites, the first one being a bit of a disaster and requiring me to start all over again.

It's ok though because unlike most people stating out on building their website, I already have a blog, a social media presence (which I would love to grow) and tones of content. The trick has been to narrow down what I'm wiling to put my time into and attracting the right audience. I will certainly use what I have learned and will continue to learn from my course and see the effects live in action.

I will be relying solely on organic marketing, brand recognition and recall as opposed to paid media as I simply don't have a budget for it, but word of mouse incredibly effective.

Consistent posting across channels is crucial.
