Happy Mother's Day

As I was making this video... yesterday on actual Mother's Day... And I only used photos from my old Google Drive hey... I just got so caught up in reminiscing about what it was like to become a mother and then to unexpectedly have my life change gears and became the mother of two more children. Anyway... I obviously got carried away as I downloaded over 500 photos... barely blinking.
It's kind of like pretty much how parenthood goes... Our eldest is going into matric next year, our middle child is in grade 10 and our youngest will be going into grade 7.

I definitely don't expect all of you to sit through all 27 minutes of it (sorry)
But it's my mother's day gift to myself.

I also included some special photos of Merle Mobey, who both my sister and I ;out through unimaginable crap.
I mean, under the circumstances, it is imaginable, but when I look at my own kids, especially my daughter, it's insane to recall or even believe that by her age I was already living with my first "husband."

I am so incredibly proud of each one of my children and at least I can say, despite my shortcomings, that we have raised three incredible and unique children.

I always wanted a big family, probably because my childhood was such a mess... to say the least. I craved my own kids.

I didn't know that biologically I would only have one child and the other two would come "readymade" lol, at the perfect time of my life.
God answers our prayers in the strangest ways.
But I am so grateful. For you @zakludick for being an incredible father (and even took on the motherhood role as you raised your children on your own).

And to my mother who deserves so much in return for all the love she bestowed upon us children. Even if we didn't understand it at the time. You deserve so much credit mom.

You gave me gifts I can never repay.
Today... I am blessed.

Who knows what tomorrow will bring, but today.. I am blessed.
