We hitchhiked from central Claremont to the old Greenpoint stadium and watched the most incredible show I'd ever seen. It was the most surreal experience.

People just freely passing joints around and being so kind and friendly. Clearly my first rock concert. What a vibe man.
They were supported by Fettish, Springboks Nude Girls and the awesome Lenny Kravits who's female drummer completely stole the show.

Some bitches from my boyfriend's school found me in the crowd and started spreading rumors that he'd cheated on me... Multiple times behind my back. It surfaced later that they were probably just trying to get him to break up with him cause one of them wanted in...

Jeeez. Teenage drama

BUT I believed them.

I broke up with him in the parking lot while we were trying to find a ride home.

There was a lot of crying and unnecessary pain.

We probably would have broken up anyway, but fuck did my life only get a million times more fucked up after this.

It marked the start of the "Dark Year" and the song Acoustic #3 always plays in my head when I think of him.
