Now… the perfect cup of coffee… If it is espresso, it would be highly concentrated and short… Its crema should be thick and light brown, welcoming my first sip.
Flavor wise… I prefer fruitful or sour-ish anaerobically fermented coffees. A nice Kenya single origin can also fit perfect into my espresso cup.
If we speak about filter, I want a light, fruitful brew with flower notes, maybe jasmine Geisha would be a perfect fit. The fermented coffees are also welcome with their liqueur and alcohol nuances, accompanying a tropical fruit base.
In both cases I prefer the coffee light roasted in order to prevent over extraction and putting harsh flavors in my cup. Of course, also my coffee has to be clear from any additives. This way the perfect cup of coffee wiupd be achieved!
Hey @mdosev Sorry, there's a revised question 😆... to correct the error of a repeat of last week's prompt:)
It really sounded so similar and I didn’t check the last week’s topic… 😂 I’ll check again.
Ok. The same for me. I thought it sounded way too familiar 😅
Yes! It's so soothing.
I can enjoy an intensely roasted coffee if it's made in an espresso machine. Sometimes I'm in that mood. But let's say I need a medium roast coffee on a regular basis. Light roast, on the other hand, is not common here, and it's the most expensive. But I do like it. I think I could drink it daily, but it wouldn't keep me from wanting to go back to the more vigorous taste of a medium roast coffee that is well concentrated even if I'm willing to pay for light roast.
It is interesting how strong the heritage of the past is. Your country has some great history in the coffee production and this truly has a great impact in how you tend enjoy your coffee. And although my country also had coffee in the past, it was very limited. Still everybody used to brew coffee at home. My mother also prefers darker roasted coffee and the traditional, robusta coffee is the preferred type. I and some other friends around me stepped towards the fruitful Specialty coffees and now we cannot have other coffee. 😁
We can make our own traditions. Your children will learb a lot about coffee from their dad ❤️
I am an intense tastes girl, what can I say... hahaha....
The truth is that it is rare to find in the common commercial offers coffee that is lightly roasted. My country comes from a tradition of medium to intense roasted coffees and this may have a reason, or at least we can speculate from some historical information. Since the beginnings of the popularization of coffee houses in the 19th century, coffee was not so accessible to the common people, so the cheap coffee available was not so good and was roasted a lot to mask the lack of quality. Our guayoyo also adds a lot of water, it is a high yielding preparation.
With time the quality coffees spread and today we can find very good local coffee at good prices, but the tradition of the degree of roasting was preserved.
As I grew up in this education of taste, my favorite coffees are strong, of medium to intense roasting.
By the way, what a beautiful photo. The light from your lamp looks like a sugar cube swimming in your cup!
I know that when you come from a country with a huge coffee production it is hard to find lighter roasted coffee. When the coffee is average and below average, you should roast it darker to cover the flaws as you have said. Lighter coffee is more expensive and it is clear why. Mass producers prefer bigger crops at the cost of lower quality beans. Here in the supermarkets the coffee that can be found is medium to dark roasted too. We are lucky to live in a world where specialty coffee enters relatively fast, so I have no issues in finding a tasty, light I medium roasted coffee beans.
Light and fruity infusion with floral notes
I am imagining a coffee with floral notes 🤔 That must be great @mdosevThat’s why Geisha coffee, which has these is the most expensive coffee in the world! 🫣
Very charming
You really know how to order a perfect cup of coffee. I imagine that with a coffee like this you don't need anything else to enjoy its excellent flavor and aroma.
I leave you a cup of coffee for this sunday.
This is really all I need! 😁
You gave your perfect cup with luxuries and details, we must always know how, when, where, to drink our drink
Hey, coffee friends!
I've been hanging around the house since 6 am without doing much, thinking about getting some fish for breakfast. Finally, my coffee kicked in and I'm ready to go. You don't get much motivation around here.
My ideal cup of coffee,
I think, is similar in flavor to the one I had this morning. BUT._
Ideally,
it would taste more like the espresso they make at Trinacria (their IG here), an Italian coffee shop I visited recently: strong but round on the palate, full-flavored with fruity notes, hot but not boiling hot; it should come from an espresso machine, as I love that foam that collects on the surface of my cup--my moka pot tries hard but she can't do that 😏 Perhaps it's all about equilibrium for me, the right balance I need to start the day feeling that I'm in balance...
One day you're going to have to show how those cats drink coffee.
I'll have to try Trinaquia's coffee. Not only did it look very tempting in your post about the site, but the description you give, sounds like a coffee I would happily drink!
You say something I fully share: it's about the coffee you need to balance yourself, and maybe it's not about a specific type of brew.
I remember a coffee from over 15 years ago that I drank on the side of a road during a trip full of delays and potholes! It was near the valleys of San Baltazar de Cumanacoa (for those who do not know this, it is a small town in the state of Sucre in Venezuela). It was not special in any gastronomic sense, but I came with an upset stomach and that coffee balanced me beautifully. I was able to contemplate again with affection the green, green landscape, which is very beautiful in that area.
Here goes an old photo, but just so you can see that my cat drank coffee once too!
Neem! ♥️ How's she doing!
I think we can find comfort in some drinks and foods, but coffee may be the most popular worldwide when it comes by to pull yourself together.
Next time we meet at Lechería, we should go to Trinacria ☕ They have some great pastries 😋
I don't doubt it. Your post showed them amply. Challenge accepted! 🤣
Neem is well, pretty and shameless, as always!
Dear @marlyncabrera, for me that is one of the most important characteristics of coffee, which balances me completely
So, we're in the same club! 😆 In my hometown, we drink coffee when it's cold or when it's hot, in the morning and evening... I think balance is one of those coffee things ♥️
You have said it very well, balance is the most important thing and it not only works with coffee, but also in our daily lives.
Greetings to your beautiful kittens!
I leave you a cup of coffee.☕
So true!
All the kitties say hi 😌♥️
If the coffee you would love has a similar flavor to the coffee that you just had at your house, then you obviously hit the jackpot! 😉
I'm missing that thick veil of foam. I need it in my life 😌
And if you have that cat company I think it couldn't be more perfect, although some cafeterias don't accept animals. @marlyncabrera
Most coffee shops around here are not pet friendly yet. I'm looking forward to the day the are, finally. My animal companions always make my coffee taste better, @alborhada 💕💕
The photo with the cat was great, do the furry ones drink coffee?
Although my cats won't drink any coffee, they know the can come for some petting and attention when they see me holding my cup. If I'm on the computer or with a cup of coffee, I'm never alone 😺😺😺❤️
That's great, enjoying our best drink in the company of feline friends

Coffee in bed sounds great to me. I don't get that here 😼 Only cats in bed.
This is the coffee you're talking about:
This coffee is extraordinary. The Caripe coffees that I have tasted, with very few exceptions, have been good, with character. Thank you for revealing the identity of my exquisite companion of awakenings.
Excellent point of view @adncabrera, everything that comes from our loved ones is the best. It can't be any different with our cup of coffee 🥰
And don't believe it... One also comes to love the cups as if they were family. 😁💖
A Sunday enjoying a good cup of coffee in a very beautiful place that brings us happiness and tranquility. A perfect day without a doubt.
I leave you a cup of coffee for this night.☕
Thank you for that late night coffee,@rinconpoetico7. A warm closing to a day that started with a very good coffee.
That coffee looks like it will burn 😅 my perfect coffee is not very hot.
Everybody needs rest and it is great that you have such a good coffee to enjoy at the garden. Can I join you next time? 😇
Of course! You are very welcome!
Coffee is one of the best drinks to share! ☕️🍪
I hope your Sunday was very pleasant!
The perfect coffee is also the one offered to us by the person we love @adncabrera
It's true, @alborhada, my daughter usually makes a terribly watery coffee...and I don't like it, but I love it!😆💕
Ha ha we will say then that love adds the perfect touch to coffee 👏🏼
Drinking coffee outdoors is comforting, it's a shame you got cold in the process.
Perfect cup of coffee
The sensations that allow us to enjoy a cup of coffee are influenced by several elements. For me, the best coffee is the one I drink in the morning, the first one, the one that ignites my senses and prepares me for the day. If to this I add the possibility of drinking it accompanied by my family, a strong coffee with no added sugars and freshly brewed in my favorite cup: I am sure that it is my perfect coffee
What you say about sensations is true. Good vibes can make coffee taste better. I'm sure!
It's like that my friend, with coffee ☕ and with everything in life. It's a matter of perception
Yes! Perceprion is always an issue, sometime for the better. A nice looking ceramic cup can make my coffee taste better, I'm sure 😁
Freshly brewed coffee is ambrosia of gods, its flavor is maximized and the smell is a spell that cannot be gotten rid of.
I leave you a cup of coffee.☕
I love reading you, you are a poet 🥰. You are right @rinconpoetico7
A good coffee in the morning is very necessary, it activates us completely, In my case always strong, we have something in common, sugar-free is the best
Excellent Sunday conversation coffee lovers.
Today I come to participate in the new conversation of the week with lots of coffee and flavor.
I don't really have much technical knowledge about how a perfect coffee should look like, but I do know what I like in my coffee and in the end everything is adjusted to each person's taste.
In my case, I am not very attracted to strong flavors, although this does not mean that I cannot enjoy a delicious espresso, but I am one of those people who look for a point of balance between sweetness and bitterness. In my perfect cup of coffee for me, I look for flavors like chocolate or fruity touches, flavors that make my taste buds vibrate. And the aroma must be irresistible, so much so that it enchants the sense of smell and makes we feel the urge to go for a cup of coffee, urgently. Haha.
This has been my answer to the question of the weekly conversation. I'll keep reading you in the comments.☕
Great start of the week!
Your ideal cup of coffee reminds me of my mother; she would always complain when any of us her children made strong coffee. My granny, on the other hand, liked her so strong that it was almost electrifying 😂
The cup has the standard size, and you can also see a typical Guayoyo, I haven't had it for a while, since my coffee is sugar-free, and very strong, to take advantage of its flavor
For me the perfect cup is the one that has the best tasting coffee, it is not the design but what is inside. The best coffee flavor is the one that is roasted in an artisanal way in the Venezuelan plains, its flavor is unique but I don't always get it, so after that the best is one like this one that I prepare daily. I learned that the perfect coffee has no sugar in it and believe me my life has changed a lot by removing the sugar because my health and my quality of life improved significantly.
Enjoy your perfect coffee. ☕
It's so good you quit sugar in your coffee. Now you can appreciate it's flavor fully; besides, there's less sugar to go to your blood.
I think we have good coffee beans, too ♥️
I've checked @marlyncabrera coffee without sugar tastes more like coffee 😊.
"No Doubt" 😺
We both hit the nail on the head, removing the sugar from our coffee, so the flavor and smell are better appreciated. Our health changed completely from there, Sugar is a poison for our body
I am in mourning for the death of my niece, it is a terrible blow, but beyond that, I wanted to participate in this conversation, to clear my mind a little.
My perfect coffee, would be in my jumbo cup, very strong with a medium to intense roast, as I like it, without sugar obviously, it damages the taste and smell of coffee, without sugar my drink is just right, I love to smell coffee in the mornings, it makes me enter into a peace of mind, when I do it, I close my eyes, my senses are activated, I can swear that with every sip I take, my taste buds dance in symphony of the brew, the notes of flavor, run through my body, activating every neuron, ready for my daily activities in the best possible way, I love. Ami drink and she to me, for some good cups of coffee☕☕☕.
I'm so sorry for your loss, my friend. I hope your family gets the necessary spiritual strength you need to overcome this hard moment.
Coffee tastes bitter on days like this one. Better days will come soon 🙏🏻♥️
Sorry for your loss @neilamarcano.
May you find strength in this difficult time 🤗
Thank you @millycf1976, God is my comfort in this terrible time we live in. Greetings 🤗
🤗
For me the perfect cup of coffee ☕ it must be at medium temperature, I don't like it cold or too hot, it has to be lukewarm.
It must have some sugar and not too strong, it is what we call a guarapo 😊.
Without adding anything else to it!
That's my 🍵 perfect cup of coffee!
