Traveling part of life

Good day, amazing people of Hive Blockchain. Welcome back to my blog. This is another day in the #inleomonthly prompt. Tell us about your last travel or outdoor days.

Travelling is one of the things I love doing. My hobby is travelling; there is this joy in me anytime I hear the word travelling. I have been able to meet people and see places that are part of life. For me, life will be boring if I don’t travel. I hate staying in a place. Even when I was still researching for a job, I was only applying for work that would enable me to travel.

Travelling is part of life; there will be no life without travelling. Travelling has provided a lot of opportunities for me. I have been able to understand the world better; every time I travel, I most surely learn new things and experiences. Someone like me, I always like trying out new things anytime I travel.

Travelling is very important for our personal growth; there are a whole lot of things to learn from travelling. Whenever I am travelling, I see it as an avenue to acquire knowledge, explore, have fun and also develop myself.

The last time I travelled was last month when I travelled back home for my sister's wedding. The journey was so stressful; there were a lot of challenges on the way, but I am so grateful to God that I came back safe.

Since I was born, I have not travelled with a night bus, but I had to travel back home with a night bus for the first time after work on Saturday. I rushed home to pick up my luggage. I was travelling from Lagos to Abia State. Getting to the park, the vehicle was almost full. I bought my ticket and settled down. In a few minutes, our driver took off. I was afraid because I had not taken night transport before.

The journey was going well, but not until we got to the Benue Motorway did we notice that some cars were turning with focus. Before our driver could notice what was happening, the armed robbers had blocked our vehicle. That was my first time seeing a gun, and I was so afraid, begging God for mercy.

Immediately the command was given for everyone in the vehicle to come down from the car; the robbers beat the living hell out of the people in the vehicle who complained and still collected their money. When it came to my turn, I gave them all the money I had.

During the incident, no force man was around; it was after the robbery that they came asking us what happened. I was so afraid to continue the journey. I was so glad they didn’t take my phone because they took every phone in the vehicle. Maybe because I switched off my phone and put it in my luggage, I only have my small phone with me. I was really lucky.

We continued our journey, and I arrived home early the next morning. My family was very surprised to see me because they thought I could not make it for my sister's wedding. I narrated my story to my family, and they were very happy that the armed robbers did not injure me or kill me. You need to see my mom dancing and praising God for my life.

I was so happy that I was safe. Honestly, I will never try the night bus again. I will never take that risk again. Nevertheless, travel still remains my best hobby. I believe we learn every day, and travelling is one of the means to learn.
