there is still need for library.
Good day, amazing people of Hive Blockchain. Welcome back to my blog. It is another edition in the #hivelearners community. I am so delighted to participate in this week's prompts. Who needs libraries?
I can remember the very first time I visited the library; I fell in love with the library. The place is so quiet and neat. I enjoyed reading for the first day, and from that day on, I started going to the library to read, do some research and also borrow books from the library. At that point, I started seeing the library as a sanctuary, holy of holiness because of its quietness.
A library is not just about the books; it is a place of learning and accessing information. The importance of a library can’t be overemphasized.
The way technology has really advanced has made libraries irrelevant. With your smartphone and laptop, you can access all the information you need just in the comfort of your home. Does that mean that libraries are no longer needed? For me, a library should be one thing we should not do away with; it can be traditional, but it is also good if we have our libraries.
For someone like me, I prefer reading hard copies to soft copies. Reading hard copy gives me this vibe to source more knowledge. Whenever I visit the library, I spend time reading. I have tried reading soft copy, and it is not working for me because no matter how much I try to concentrate, there must be something that will distract me. Properly a link will pop up on my screen, and from there I have been distracted. That is why I prefer a hard copy because when I am reading, all my focus is on my book, and nothing will distract me.
For me, physical books still remain the best. Just that e-books are more convenient, but libraries are vital for education. Someone who loves reading will always go to the library in search of knowledge and information. There are varieties of books in the library.
Many people have been asking if there is still a need for libraries since technology has taken over. One thing that surprises me is that we have it all at our fingertips, but still it seems like people who use libraries are more educated than us.
Everything about the library is free; you don’t pay to read a book. Unlike your smart, if you don’t have access to the internet, you can’t be able to read. Library holds history and keeps it safe. When I was writing my final project at the university, all the material I used in writing that project was gotten from the library, and it really made my project very easy.
We still need libraries. All we need to do is to restructure the library. We need to modernise the library. The resources for the library should not go to other sectors; rather, they should be used to improve the library.
The resources for the library should be used to create awareness among people, telling them the importance of the library. The resource should be used to support library funding. Still prefer library to e-book.
This is my response to this week's prompt #hl-w158e2 topic, Who needs a library?"
Thank you for stopping by my blog. I appreciate your comments, support and upvotes. Do have a nice day.

We are the same here, I can't read soft copy for a long time but when it comes to hardcopy I can sit for long with my books.
Wow you are twin now
Libraries provide a quiet and comfortable space for learning, even in this digital age, libraries are important, there's just something special in sitting and holding a book to read.
Thanks for sharing.

Yes my dear library still remains the best for me
Good.
There are lots of history books sitting in libraries that are not on the internet and some of the history on the internet are rewrite from the same books in the library so we should never forget or let libraries stop functioning
Library still remains the best my dear
