This week's theme is that charity begins at home. Indeed, charity, as the saying goes, begins at home. Before you do anything outside, you should start at home. Develop your place first. Let the people at home benefit from your charity before you take it out to others. You can’t be generous while you are not at home, which is why you should start charity at home first.

I believe that no matter how poor you may think you are, there are people to whom you should show charity.

On the 5th of May, it was Mothering Sunday in my church. I was not too sure what I should gift my mother this year, so I decided to bring my charity home. I have to think and think about the best gift to give my mom on this special day. I really want to surprise her and see her smile. I have been doing this for people outside, and for my mom this year, it was the best decision I took.

I have this friend that sells foodstuffs. I send her money for a bag of rice, groundnut oil, and somovita. And a bag of flour, you will ask what my mom is doing with the bag of flour. mom is a baker, and I know how much that flour means to her.

On that day, which is Mother's Day, I gifted her the things I bought for her. I gave her some wrappers. My mom was very happy. I have not seen my mom this happy before. With the joy in her heart, my mom prayed for me and blessed me.

It has always been my wish to have a charity foundation where I can help people in my community. It has been a long time since I travelled to my hometown, but coming to visit my hometown, I realised that some students and pupils go to school without sandals or slippers. I am hoping that in two months, if I can get the money I am looking for, I will do charity work in my community. Charity begins at home. This little thing I will do for my community will speak well of me even when I am not in the community.

It is important for us to bring our good deeds home so that people around us will also benefit from our charity work.

You should always try your best to extend help to people around you, no matter how small it may be. Charity is one of the things I love doing. I believe that people who give never lack.

Always remember that charity starts at home. Before you go out, make sure that the people within you are okay. Don’t answer big men outside, but at home, you don’t help anybody.
