Science: Τhe Day Of Reckoning! see what will become of science in a decade time….

Science is the best thing that happened to humans. Science came and transformed things for humans, making life so easy and comfortable. Seeing this prompts I have to pause for minutes to think of how useful science is. In truth, we wake from science and sleep on science. There is no world without science. The majority of the things that science gives us make the world beautiful.

Science has really given hope to people and the ability to do things that are impossible. Looking at the way things are going, I don’t think man can do without science; some of the things that seem impossible for our forefathers science has made possible. Despite all the good things that science has done for us, there are some bad parts of science; it is not all evolution from science that is a gift to mankind.

I don’t like the idea of weapon development: science has created destructive weapons that are one of the worst things that science produces for mankind, the fact that they create things that will destroy the world within a blink of an eye.

I was listening to the news one day, and some country said that they will be launching some weapons. I asked myself, is this necessary? Of all things to launch, are weapons that will destroy mankind?

I was watching CNN. I couldn’t stand the way people were being killed. It was a fight between Russian and Ukrainian; these countries have been at each other for some years now, fighting and bombing the country, destroying things and the lives of people. Had it been that science didn’t produce these powerful tools for mankind, things would not be like this. These two countries know no peace because they don’t know what the other country is up to; each of the countries is always trying to top up their game and equip themselves with the best weapons.

People in these two countries are seriously suffering – no good food, no good food and no proper health centre for them. Most times in my church our priest will tell us to contribute money to help feed countries like these two countries. Anytime I come across a channel broadcasting war, I am always afraid because if there is something I am afraid of, it is war. I can’t stand the sound of guns or the taking of nuclear bombs that will wipe away many souls.

This is one thing that science gives to mankind that I am regretting, and I wish they never developed these things for mankind. This particular one, science is not a gift but a curse to mankind. How can science develop weapons that destroy mankind?

We need things that will gift to mankind and not curse. Science should develop more things that will be beneficial to man.
